B.Sc Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture awarded by Kerala Agricultural University or Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture from any other University recognised by Indian Council of Agricultural Research.

3% of the vacancies shall be reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates (Category: Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy, Low Vision, Hearing impairment) for the recruitment to the post as per G.O. (P) No.61/2012/SWD dated 17.10.2012. The Village Extension Officers who have been selected and have undergone the Degree course in Agriculture Science and obtained the Degree from Kerala Agricultural University will be eligible to get age relaxation in upper age limit upto 45 years for direct recruitment to the post of Agricultural Officer. 1) Candidates with Post Graduate Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture but not having basic degree in Agriculture/Horticulture will be ineligible to apply for the post. 2) The Degree awarded by the Colleges/Universities should be after the course of study having 10 + 2 + 4 pattern prescribed by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research . Note : Rule 10 (a) ii of part II of KS&SSR is applicable.
