20 – 39, Only candidates born between 02/01/1984 and 01/01/2003 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply for the post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities.(For other conditions of age relaxation please see Para(2) of Part II General Conditions in the Gazette) Note: Age relaxation will be allowed to officers of Technical Education Department to the extent of service in the Department; subject to a maximum period of ten years over and above the relaxation in age, if any, allowed under general rules. In such cases maximum age shall not exceed 50 years.
Qualifications
First class Bachelor's Degree in Textile Technology from a recognized university after undergoing a regular course of study. (G.O(P) No. 366/2010/H.Edn, dated 08.11.2023) Link : Equivalent qualification admitted in the previous selection

Note: 1 Due to the non availability of DA-Low Vision candidate as per section 34(2) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 in the previous rank list of this post, one vacancy among the above said vacancies is reserved for the DA-Low Vision category. The same will be filled from above said category from the ranked list of this notification. In the absence of above said DA category in the rank list as per this notification, the same will be advised from other eligible DA categories as per Section 34(2) of above said Act. In the absence of DA candidates, it will be advised from General Category. 2 Three percentage (3%) of the vacancies are reserved for Differently Abled candidates with Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy and Low Vision (As per G.O.(P)No.61/2012/SWD dated 17.10.2012) and Hearing Impairment (As per G.O.(P)No.9/2019/SJD dated 04.09.2019) The Ranked list published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and maximum period of three years, provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year, or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies noted above and against vacancies that may be reported to the Commission during the period of currency of the Ranked list. i KS&SSR part II Rule 10 (a)ii is applicable ii Candidates who have acquired Non-qualifying Degrees viz. Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship will be awarded weightage marks provided that such Non-Qualifying Degrees shall be in the subjects pertaining to the basic qualification stipulated for the post. Weightage marks for Non-qualifying Degrees for ranking will be awarded as detailed below .Non-Qualifying M.Phil - 2 marks Non-Qualifying Ph.D - 4 marks Both M.Phil and Ph.D (Non-Qualifying) - 5 marks Post Doctoral Fellowship - 2 marks Non-qualifying degree means the additional qualifications which are earned apart from the qualifications insisted on as essential qualifications for the post. If Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship is reckoned as essential qualification for the post, weightage marks will not be awarded for it. Weightage marks will be awarded only to those non-qualifying degrees which are claimed in the application and which are acquired on or before the last date for receipt of applications iii In addition to the qualifications mentioned above, qualifications notified as equivalent to the prescribed qualification by way of executive orders or standing orders of the Government, as well as higher qualification which presuppose the basic qualification prescribed for the post, shall be acceptable. Government Orders regarding equivalent qualifications / higher qualifications shall be produced by the candidate as and when called for by the Commission. iv The Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC approved Universities or Institutions established through an act passed by Parliament/State Legislative Assembly in accordance with the conditions laid down in G.O (M.S) No.526/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appointment in Government Services. Liability to serve in the Defence Services : Persons appointed to the above mentioned post shall be liable, notwithstanding that at the time of requisition they are holding higher appointments, to serve for a minimum period of four years (including period spent in training) in the Defence Services or on assignments relating to Defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad, if so required. The liability to serve in the Defence Services will be limited to the first 10 years of service and will not ordinarily apply to those above 40 years of age. Probation Every person appointed to this post shall from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. 8.Mode of submitting Application:- a) Candidates must register as per ONE TIME REGISTRATION with the official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging in to their profile using their User-ID and password. Candidates must click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to apply for a post. The Photograph uploaded should be one taken after 31.12.2013. Name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed legibly at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of uploading. Candidates creating new profile from 01.01.2022 shall upload photograph taken within six months. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates shall take a printout of the application by clicking the link My Application in their profile. All correspondence with the Commission regarding the application should be accompanied with the printout of the application. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the application on the profile candidates must ensure correctness of the information on their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission. Application once submitted is received as provisional and the details cannot be deleted or altered after the last date for receipt of applications.. The application will be summarily rejected if noncompliance with the notification is found in due course of processing. Documents to prove qualification, age, Community etc. have to be produced as and when called for. The profile correction made by the candidates themselves or in the office of KPSC on request, after the last date fixed for the receipt of applications will not reflect in the application.Such corrections will come into effect only on the date on which corrections have been made. b) If a Written/OMR/Online Test is conducted as part of this selection, candidates shall submit a confirmation on writing the examination through their one time registration profile. Such candidates alone can generate and download the admission tickets in the last 15 days till the date of test .The application of the candidates who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated period will be rejected summarily. The period regarding the submission of confirmation and availability of admission tickets will be published in the examination calendar itself. Information in this regard will be given to the candidates in their respective profiles and mobile phone number registered in it. c) Candidates who have AADHAAR card should add AADHAAR Card as I.D Proof in their profile 9 Special Instructions to candidates (a) In the case of difference in Caste/Community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette Notification in this regard, along with Non Creamy Layer Certificate/Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification. (b) Candidates are required to acquaint themselves with the instructions given in the notification as Part II, General Conditions before submitting application for the post. Applications which are not submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down in the General Conditions are liable to be rejected. (c) Appropriate disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure shall be initiated against those candidates who submit applications with bogus claims of qualification regarding education, experience etc. and are liable to be disqualified for being considered for a particular post or debarment from applying to the Commission either permanently or for any period or the invalidation of their answer scripts or products in a written/practical test or the initiation of criminal or other proceedings against them or their removal or dismissal from office or the ordering of any other disciplinary action against them if they have already been appointed, or any one or more of the above.
