20-39, Candidates born between 02/01/1984 and 01/01/2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. SC/ST and other backward communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. (For conditions regarding age relaxation, see Part II of the General Conditions in the Gazette notification). Note: Employees of the Technical Education Department will be allowed age relaxation to the extent of their service (subject to a maximum of 10 years over and above the usual age relaxation) in the General Rules. In such cases, the upper age limit shall not exceed 50 years.

First Class Degree in Textile Technology from a recognized University. G.O(P) No. 366/2010/H.Edn, dated 08.11.2010

Note: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a) ii is applicable. ii: Candidates who have acquired Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship in the subjects related to the basic qualification prescribed for the post will be given additional marks. Additional marks for non-qualifying qualifications will be given as follows: Non-qualifying M.Phil - 2 marks Non-qualifying Ph.D - 4 marks M.Phil & Ph.D (Non-qualifying) - 5 marks Post Doctoral Fellowship - 2 marks Non-qualifying qualifications means additional qualifications acquired over and above the qualifications prescribed as basic qualification for the post. If Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship is considered as basic qualification, no additional marks will be given for that. Only non-qualifying degrees acquired and declared in the application within the last date for receipt of application will be given weightage marks. iii: In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, qualifications declared by the Government as equivalent to the prescribed educational qualification, qualifications determined by the Commission as equivalent to the qualifications prescribed in the Special Rules, and higher qualifications which have the prescribed qualification as basic qualification will be accepted. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications must be produced when required by the Commission. iv: As per the provisions of G.O(M.S) No.526/PD dated 17.07.1965, degrees/diplomas awarded by universities recognized by the UGC and established under acts passed by Parliament/State Legislatures are acceptable for appointment to Government service. Defense Service: Candidates appointed to the above post are liable to serve in the Defense Services or in defense-related jobs for a period of four years including the training period, if required by the Government, either in India or abroad. This liability is limited to the first ten years of service. This rule is not applicable to those who have crossed 40 years of age. Probation: Any person appointed to this post shall be on probation for a period of two years within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining duty.
