18-26. Only candidates born between 02.01.1997 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Other Backward Communities, Scheduled Caste converts and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation as provided under sub rule (c) of the Rule 10 of the General rules. Other conditions regarding the age relaxation are not applicable to this post.

I) Educational Qualifications:- Pass in Plus Two or its equivalent. Preferential : Diploma in Computer Application II) Physical Qualification:- A) The Candidates must be physically fit and should possess the following minimum physical standards as prescribed below For General Candidates: Height (bare foot) 165 cms, Weight 50 Kgs, Chest 81 cms, Chest Expansion 5 cms For SC/ST Candidates: Height (bare foot) 160 cms, Weight 48 Kgs, Chest 76 cms, Chest Expansion 5 cms III) Must have proficiency in swimming. IV) Visual Standards: Must possess the Visual Standards specified below without glasses. (i) Distant vision: 6/6 snellen (Right Eye), 6/6 snellen (Left Eye) (ii) Near vision: 0.5 snellen (Right Eye), 0.5 snellen (Left Eye) (iii) Field of Vision: Full (Right Eye), Full (Left Eye) V) Physical Efficiency Test:- Candidates must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items in the physical efficiency test of National One Star standard showing the minimum standards of efficiency as noted below. 1. 100 Metres Run: 14 Seconds 2. High Jump: 132.20 cm 3. Long Jump: 457.20 cm 4. Putting the Shot (7264 gms): 609.60 cM 5. Throwing the Cricket Ball: 6096 cm 6. Rope Climbing (only with hands): 365.80 cm 7. Pull ups or chinning: 8 times 8. 1500 Metres Run: 5 Minutes & 44 seconds

Women and Differently Abled candidates are not eligible to apply in response to this notification. Ranked List shall cease to be in force after one year from the date of finalization. Swimming proficiency will be tested by a practical test. Visual standards must be met without glasses. Colour Blindness, Squint or any Morbid Conditions of the Eye or Lids of either Eye shall be a disqualification. Candidates must produce a Medical Certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon. Physical Measurement will be taken prior to the Physical Efficiency Test. If accidents or injuries happen to a candidate while participating in the Physical Efficiency Test, he will not be given further chance to participate in the test. Preferential: Home Guard Volunteers who have completed a tenure of three years in that organizations and who have satisfactorily undergone training in Fire Fighting during the period of tenure shall be treated as having preferential qualification. Probation: Two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Training: 6 months in the State Fire Service Training School or in any other institution as may be fixed, and pass the examination. After that, six months practical training at a Fire Station and a pass in the examination. Bond: Person appointed by direct recruitment shall execute a bond, binding himself to service in the department for a period of 7 years.
