Direct Recruitment.

19-36. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included). SC/ST and other backward communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. (Refer to Part II of the General Conditions for other age relaxation rules.)

(a) Minimum general qualification of SSLC standard. (b) Certificate in Electrical Engineering after two years of study from an institution recognized by the Kerala Government. OR National Trade Certificate in the trade of Electrician obtained after 18 months course and 6 months in-plant training under the Craftsman Training Scheme from an Industrial Training Institute. OR MGTI or KGTI Group Certificate (Higher) in Electrical Engineering including the following four subjects: 1. Light and Power (Higher) 2. Applied Mechanics (Lower) 3. Heat Engines (Lower) 4. Machine Drawing (Lower) Plus not less than 2 years experience in an Electrical establishment. G.O(MS)330/65/PWD dated 29.11.1965

The Government order and the certificate to be produced by differently abled candidates are available in the link provided. Note 1: I) Experience is not mandatory for SC/ST candidates. If selected, they will be given 6 months training during the probation period. II) Experience prescribed for direct recruitment is the experience obtained after acquiring the basic educational qualification. Only practical experience obtained through service in Government or public sector or registered private sector institutions (temporary or permanent) will be considered. Note 2: Only temporary/permanent appointments in the following institutions will be considered for registered private sector experience: (i) Co-operative societies registered under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act. (ii) Small scale industrial units registered under the Directorate of Industries and Commerce. (iii) Industrial establishments with Government investment. Note 3: Experience obtained on daily wage basis which is continuous and permanent but not casual in nature is acceptable. Note 4: Experience certificate must be attested by the concerned controlling officer/head of office in the Government. The experience certificate is subject to verification and legal action will be taken against those who provide fake certificates or those who produce them. Candidates must produce the certificate in the format provided in the annexure. Note 5: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. Note 6: Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the Government order proving the equivalency at the time of certificate verification. Note 7: In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, qualifications declared as equivalent by the Government through executive orders or standing orders, qualifications decided as equivalent by the Commission in the special rules, and higher qualifications which have the prescribed qualification as basic qualification will be accepted. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications must be produced when required by the Commission.
