18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for these posts with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Communities (For other conditions regarding the age relaxation please see part 2 of the General Conditions).

i) Maintenance and repairs of Automobiles a) Three year Diploma in Automobile Engineering from the Board of Technical Examinations, Kerala or an equivalent qualification In the absence of the above, Three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Board of Technical Examinations, Kerala or an equivalent qualification ii) Fisheries a) A degree in Bachelor of Fisheries Science from the Kerala Agricultural University or an equivalent qualifications OR b) A pass in Vocational Higher Secondary Course in any branch of Fisheries conducted by Govt. of Kerala or an equivalent qualification and B.Sc Degree with Zoology as an optional subject awarded by any of the universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification. iii) Maintenance and Repairs of Domestic Appliances Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Board of Technical Examinations, Kerala or an equivalent qualification. iv) Domestic Nursing a) B.Sc Degree in Nursing from a University recognised by a University in Kerala. OR b) Higher Secondary Certificate with Diploma in General Nursing from a recognised institution. v) Civil Construction and Maintenance Three year Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Board of Technical Examinations, Kerala or an equivalent qualification. vi) Dairying Milk Products a) A degree in Dairy Development from a recognised University. OR b) A pass in Vocational Higher Secondary Course in Dairying (Milk Products) conducted by Government of Kerala or equivalent and B.Sc degree with Zoology as an optional subject awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or equivalent. OR c) B.Sc Degree with Zoology as an optional subject from any of the Universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification. vii) Physical Education A degree in Bachelor of Physical Education awarded by any universities/recognised institution in Kerala or equivalent qualification viii) Marketing and Salesmanship a) BBM, BBA or PG Diploma in Marketing from a recognised university/institution or equivalent qualification. OR b) A pass in Vocational Higher Secondary Course in any Commerce Group conducted by Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent with B.Com awarded by any of the universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification

Note: 3% of the vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible differently abled candidates (candidates with Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy, Low Vision, Hearing Impairment vide GO(P) No.61/2012/SWD dated 17.10.2012). Note:- 1) All the educational qualifications for teaching posts should be one acquired after a regular course of study from a recognized University in Kerala or recognized as equivalent thereto by any one of the Universities in Kerala. 2)The total number of posts sanctioned shall be filled up by the methods viz, (1) by promotion (2) by transfer and (3) by direct recruitment in the ratio 2:1:7 subject-wise. If sufficient number of qualified persons are not available under by promotion and by transfer methods such vacancies shall also be filled up by direct recruitment method (GO(P)No.81/2004/Gl.Edn. Dated 12.03.2004) 3)Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he/she joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
