Age Limit

18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities. (For other conditions regarding the age relaxation please see part 2 of the General Conditions)

Qualifications

Three year Diploma in Automobile Engineering from the Board of Technical Examination, Kerala or an equivalent qualification. In the absence of the above, three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Board of Technical Examinations, Kerala or an equivalent qualification.

Notes

Note:- 3% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible differently abled candidates (Candidates with Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy, Low Vision, Hearing Impairment Vide GO (P) No.61/2012/SWD dated 17.10.2012) Note:- 1) All the educational qualifications should be one acquired after a regular course of study from a recognized University in Kerala or recognized as equivalent thereto by any one of the Universities in Kerala. 2) The total number of sanctioned posts shall be filled up by the methods viz (1) by promotion (2) by transfer and (3) by direct recruitment in the ratio 2:1:7. If sufficient number of qualified persons are not available under by promotion and by transfer method such vacancies shall also be filled up by direct recruitment method. [GO(P) No.81/2004/Gl. Edn. dated 12.03.2004] 3) Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he/she joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
