18- 42 Only candidates born between 2.1.1972 and 1.1.1996 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of General Conditions. Note: For other conditions regarding age relaxation, please see para (2) of the General Conditions except para 2 (i). (Subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years)

1 A Pass in Standard VII/ III Forum. 2 Must posses valid Heavy Duty Driving Licence of three years standing with endorsement for driving HP & HG Vehicles with Badge. 3 Proficiency in Driving Heavy goods/passenger Motor Vehicles which is to be proved in a practical test including H test and road test conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission during the course of selection. Only those who have passed `H' test are eligible for Road Test. Note:- KS&SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. 4 Medical Fitness :- (a) Ear - Hearing should be perfect. (b) Eye - Distant Vision : Right Eye 6/6 Snellen, Left Eye 6/6 Snellen Near Vision : Right Eye 0.5 Snellen, Left Eye 0.5 Snellen Colour Vision : Normal Night blindness : Nil (c) Muscles and joints : No paralysis, all joints with free movement. (d) Nervous System : Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases.

(i) Conventional type application for the above post will be summarily rejected. Candidates can apply through online application available at the Kerala Public Service Commission website viz. www.keralapsc.gov.in (ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the community other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to these candidates. (iii) Seperate Ranked list will be prepared for Pathanamthitta District in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following district. (iv) Reservation community candidates should submit application for the post to the concerned district where the vacancy is existing for their respective community and shall note the name of that district against the relevant column. (v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue district from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS)No. 4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. Probation:- Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
