18-50. i.e.,only candidates born between 02.01.1974 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post.

i. Pass in Standard VII/III Form. ii. Must possess valid Driving Licence of three years standing to drive Medium/Heavy Goods/Passenger Motor vehicles with Drivers Badge. iii. Proficiency in Driving Medium/Heavy Goods/Passenger Motor Vehicles which is to be proved by a Practical Test including 'T' test and Road test conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission during the course of selection. Only those who have passed 'T' test are eligible for Road test. iv. Medical Fitness :- (a) Ear – Hearing should be perfect. (b) Eye: Distant vision: 6/6 Snellen (Right/Left), Near vision: 0.5 snellen (Right/Left), Colour Vision: Normal, Night blindness: Nil (c) Muscles and joints: No paralysis, all joints with free movement. (d) Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases.

(i) Separate Ranked list will be prepared for each districts in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked Lists thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said lists will continue to be in force till the publication of new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. In case no candidates is advised from the ranked list till the expiry of the period of three years the duration of the Ranked List shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier. In the absence of suitable candidates for appointment by transfer the vacancy shall be filled up by Direct recruitment. (ii) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No.154/71/PD dated, 27/05/1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service in the former district, even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS)No.36/91,P&ARD dated 02/12/1991. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (iii) Candidates should submit applications for the post to any one of the above districts and should note the name of that district against the relevant column in the online application. Applications should not be submitted to more than one district in response to this notification. If applications are submitted contrary to the above direction, and if he/she is selected, his/her name will be removed from the ranked lists and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. (iv) Candidates who submit applications for recruitment by transfer should furnish a Service certificate in original attested from the Head of the office at the time of sending application and produce the same as and when required by the commission. (v) Appointment by transfer and by Direct Recruitment shall be made in the ratio of 1:3. In the absence of suitable candidates for appointment by transfer, the vacancy shall be filled up by direct recruitment. (vi) Candidates holding low paid posts in Kerala State Subordinate service (including Part Time Contingent Subordinate Service) in the scale of pay lower than Rs. 25100 – 57900/- can apply for the above post. The applicant should be an approved probationer/full member of the subordinate service. The applicant should obtain a certificate from the Head of Office showing their service particulars in the form given below and produce the same as and when required by the Commission. Persons appointed through Employment Exchange or otherwise and working on a temporary/provisional basis are not eligible to apply for the post in response to this notification. (vii) KS&SSR Part I Rule 2(13) is applicable for this selection. (viii) The rules regarding the reservation of appointment contemplated in the Rules 14 to 17 of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules 1958 are not applicable to appointment by transfer. (ix) Probation: Every person appointed to the post shall, from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within continuous period of three years.
