18-36 (Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities.) Note:- (i) The above upper age limit shall be subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (Fifty) years. For general conditions regarding the age relaxation please see Part II, Paragraph 2 of this Notification. (ii) In the case of officers belonging to Technical Education Department, the maximum age limit shall be relaxed to the extent of their service in the department, subject to a maximum of 10 (Ten) years, (subject to the condition that the upper age limit shall not in any case exceed 50 (Fifty) years).

(1) Pass in Technical High School Leaving Certificate Examination (THSLC) in the appropriate trade. OR (2) (i) Pass in SSLC or its equivalent examination. (ii) National Trade Certificate (NTC) / Kerala Government Certificate in Engineering Examination (KGCE) / Vocational Higher Secondary Certificate Course (VHSE) in the appropriate trade. Note: (1) Name of the Trade/Branch along with the name of the post should be mentioned in the Online Application. (2) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable for this selection. (3) Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the Government Order proving equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the qualification concerned.

(i) Candidates must register as per 'One Time Registration' with the Official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.gov.in' before applying for the post. (ii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Additional vacancies if any, pending disposal of the said lists will also be filled up after advising that list accordingly. If no selection is advised from the rank list within the period of 3 years, the duration of the list will be extended for a further period of one year or until the final selection is made, whichever is earlier. (iii) Candidates shall submit application for the post to any one district and should note the name of the district against the relevant column in the online application. If applications are submitted contrary to the above directions, and if he/she is selected, his/her application will be summarily rejected and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. Candidates can however apply to respective districts in different trades of various categories. (iv) The selection pursuant to this notification will be subject to the rules issued by the Government from time to time in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A person selected under district-wise recruitment from a district list shall not be transferred to another district until he completes five years continuous service in the district from which he is transferred. After five years, transfer will be allowed subject to the rules in G.O.(MS) No. 04/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding the same post in any one district are not eligible to apply for this notification. However, they can apply for higher posts. (v) If the caste/community claimed in the application differs from the caste/community entered in the SSLC book, such changes should be published in the Gazette on or before the date of application and the same along with the Community Certificate/Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the Revenue authority should be produced at the time of verification/one time verification or as and when required by the Commission.
