18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.2004 (Both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post.(Including para 2(i) of the general conditions.) Note:- For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (Fifty) years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions under Part II of this Notification. (Except para 2(i) )

1) A Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject both conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. (Concerned subjects are specified in Note (ii) below. ) 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala Link : https://www.keralapsc.gov.in/sites/default/files/inline-files/circular_12_18_1.pdf Note : The Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC approved Universities or Institutions established through an act passed by Parliament/State Legislative Assembly in accordance with the conditions laid down in G.O(MS) No.526/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appointment in Government Services. Exemption: 1. Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subjects and M.Ed in any subject are exempted from acquiring TET (G.O.(P)No.145/16/G.Edn dated 30.08.16 and G.O.(P)No. 206/16/G.Edn dated 08.12.2016, GO(P)No:15/2020/GEdn dated 09.10.2020.) 2. As per the conditions laid down in Government Circular No.1866829/J3/2017/G.Edn dated 09.03.2018 those who passed CTET primary stage and CTET Elementary stage were excluded from KTET Cat.I & KTET Cat.II respectively. Also CTET qualification can't be considered as an alternative qualification for KTET Cat.III and Cat.IV 3. I) Must have passed SSLC/Plus Two/Pre-Degree with Tamil as I or II Language. OR II) A pass in Degree or Post Graduation in Tamil Language. (In the absence of the qualifications referred in (I) & (II) above its equivalent shall also be considered (G.O(P)No.166/16/G.Edn.Dated 30.09.2016) Note: (i) M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. (ii) The applicant should have taken History or Economics or Geography or Politics or Philosophy or Sociology as main subject for Graduation. (iii) Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education will also be treated as equivalent to Degree for the above purpose. (iv) The candidates who have acquired BA.Ed Integrated Course (Social Studies, English) conducted by the Regional Institute Of Education in Mysore are also eligible to apply for the post.(GO(Rt)No :2135/2019/GEdn dated 4/6/2019 ) (v) Post Graduates in concerned subject with B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject are also eligible to apply for the post. (vi) The following qualifications are also acceptable for appointment to the post of High School Teacher (Social Science) a) BA Degree in Islamic History and Urdu Double main and B.Ed in Social Studies OR b) BA Degree in Islamic History (Main) General Economics and Indian History (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed in History. OR c) BA Degree in Islamic History and Arabic main and B.Ed in History (a, b & c above as per GO(MS)No.254/90/G.Edn dated 05.12.1990) OR d) BA Degree in Islamic History (Main) General Economics and Political Science (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed in History (GO(MS)No.21/94/G.Edn dated 21.02.1994) OR e) BA (Islamic History and Arabic Main) and B.Ed (Social Studies) OR f) BA Islamic History (Main), Indian History and Political Science (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed (History) or B.Ed (Social Studies) OR g) BA Islamic History(Main), Political Science and General Economics (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed (Social Studies) OR h) BA Islamic History (Main), outlines of Indian Culture and Freedom Movement and Political Science (Subsidiaries) and B.Ed (Social Studies). (e, f, g & h above as per GO(MS)No.327/2001/G.Edn dated 07.11.2001) (vii) The disciplines in which graduation and post graduation were obtained should be mentioned in the application. (viii) Candidates applying to the post should have sufficient knowledge in Tamil which will be tested at the time of interview. Question paper for the written test if any will be in Tamil. The candidates should answer the questions in Tamil. (ix) Rule 10(a) ii of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable for this post. (x) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission

i) Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration to www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. ii) Application submitted by candidates belonging to the community other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. iii) A Ranked List will be prepared for Idukki district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force from the date of publication of Ranked list until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following district. Name of District: Idukki, Date of Publication of Ranked List: 04/03/21, Category Number: 655/2017 iv) Candidates belonging to above reservation communities shall submit application for the post to Idukki District, where the vacancy is existing and should note the name of the district against the relevant column of the online application. v) The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS)No.154/71/PD,dated 27.5.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms)No.4/61/PD, dated 2.1.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT: (i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and G.O. (MS) No. 9/78/G.Edn dated 21.01.1978 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. (ii) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O(MS)No.122/75/G.Edn dated 27.05.1975, GO(MS) No:50/70/PD dtd 12/2/1970). (iii) Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are graduates and are otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit (G.O.(Ms)No:185/70/Edn dated 18.04.1970 and G.O.(Ms) No:466/70/Edn dated 11.11.1970). They should produce proper certificates from authorities concerned as and when required by the Commission. Mode of submitting Application: Candidates must register as per “ONE TIME REGISTRATION” with the Official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.gov.in' before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their User-ID and password. Candidates must click on the `Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to apply for a post. The photograph uploaded should be taken after 31.12.2012.Candidates who are creating profile newly from 01.01.2022, should upload the photograph taken within 6 months. Name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed legibly at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of uploading. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the application on the profile, candidates must ensure correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. Candidates are advised to keep a printout or soft copy of the online application for future reference. Candidates can take the printout of the application by clicking on the link 'My applications' in their profile. All correspondences with the Commission, regarding the application should be accompanied with the print out of the application. The Application will be summarily rejected if non-compliance with the notification is found in due course of processing. Original documents to prove qualification, community, age etc. have to be produced as and when called for. (b) Candidates who have AADHAAR card should add AADHAAR card as I.D Proof in their profile. 12 If written /OMR/Online Test is conducted as part of this selection, candidates shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration profile. Such candidates alone can generate and download the Admission Tickets in the last 15 days till the date of Test. The applications of candidates who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated period, will be rejected absolutely. The periods regarding the submission of confirmation and the availability of Admission Tickets will be published in the Examination Calender itself. Information in this regard will be given to the candidates in their respective profiles and in the mobile phone number registered in it. 13 Special instructions to candidates : i) In the case of difference in Caste/Community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC Book the candidate shall produce a gazette notification in this regard, along with Non creamy Layer certificate/Community certificate at the time of certificate verification. ii) Candidates are required to acquaint themselves with the instructions given in the notification as Part II, General Conditions before submitting application for the post. Applications which are not submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down in the General Conditions are liable to be rejected. iii) Appropriate disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure 1976, shall be initiated against those candidates who submit applications with bogus claims of qualification regarding education, experience etc. and are liable to be disqualified for being considered for a particular post or debarment from applying to the Commission either permanently or for any period or the invalidation of their answer scripts or products in a written / practical test or the initiation of criminal or other proceedings against them or their removal or dismissal from office or the ordering of any other disciplinary action against them if they have already been appointed, or any one or more of the above.
