Recruitment by transfer from among the employees who have completed the prescribed service and who are working as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant/Binder in the General Education Department.

1) A Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject both conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. (Concerned subject are specified in Note (iii) below. 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. 3) (i) Must have passed SSLC/Plus Two/Pre-Degree with Tamil as I or II Language. OR (ii) A pass in Degree or post Graduation in Tamil Language. In the absence of the qualifications referred in (i) & (ii) above its equivalent shall also be considered. (G.O(P)No.166/16/G.Edn.Dated 30.09.2016). 4) Candidates should have service not less than 5 years as clerk/ Typist/ Attender/ Office Attendant/ Binder in the General Education Department as on the date of application.

Note: (i) Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration to www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. (ii) In the absence of suitable candidates, the vacancies set apart for By Transfer recruitment shall be filled up by the candidates from the Ranked List prepared for Direct recruitment. (iii) The applicant should be an approved probationer/Full member of the Kerala General Education subordinate service as on the date of application. (iv) A Ranked List will be prepared for Idukki district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies reported during the currency of the list. (v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O. (Ms)No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous years service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS)No.4/61/PD, dated 02.1.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (vi) Candidates should submit the application for this post to Idukki district and should note the name of the district against the relevant column of the online application. (vii) The rules regarding the reservation of appointment contemplated in Rule 14 to 17 in Part II of the KS & SSR are not applicable to recruitment by transfer. (viii) Candidates applying to the post should have sufficient knowledge in Tamil which will be tested at the time of interview. If there is a written(Descriptive/OMR) Test Question papers for the written test if any will be in Tamil. The candidates should answer the question in Tamil. In case of OMR answer script, answers are to be marked as instructed. (ix) The disciplines in which graduation and post graduation were obtained and the subject of B.Ed/BT should be mentioned in the application. NB: Rule 10(a) ii of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable for this post. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, qualifications declared by the Government as equivalent qualifications through Executive/Standing Orders and higher qualifications with prescribed qualification as basic qualification will be accepted. Government Orders regarding equivalent/higher qualification shall be produced as and when called for by the Commission.
