Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes) Note : Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued.

18-41. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Note :- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed upto 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (fifty) years.

Should have passed Standard VII and should not have acquired any Degree. Note: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. “In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission.”

i) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be subject to the rules amended as per G.O (P) 12/2016/P&ARD dated 04.06.2016. ii) A Ranked List will be prepared for Pathanamthitta district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancies and also for the vacancies reported for Special Recruitment from Scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes during the currency of the list. Candidates shall also be advised from this list against vacancies reported exclusively for Scheduled Tribes and only in the absence of Scheduled Tribe candidates in this list fresh notification for Scheduled Tribes will be issued for vacancies reserved exclusively for them. iii) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O. (Ms) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List so prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if, transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the orders contained in G.O(MS) No. 4/61/PD, dated 02.1.1961. Candidates already in Government service, holding the post in any one district are restricted from applying for the same post in another District. But they can apply for higher posts when notified. iv) Candidates included in the Ranked List for district wise selection will be advised for appointment against the Head Quarters vacancies also. As per the provision in G.O (MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27/05/1971, appointment against the Headquarters vacancies will be started from Thiruvananthapuram District. Separate option need not be given for this. The conditions laid down in G.O (P) 27/13/PD dated 28.09.2013 shall be applicable to the candidates thus appointed. v) As per this notification candidates possessing any Degree (excluding Graduation certificate from military service) are ineligible for this post. If applications are submitted contrary to the above direction by suppressing the fact and if he/she is found selected, his/her application will be summarily rejected, his/her name will be removed from the ranked list and disciplinary action/punishment including removal from service will be taken aganist him/her at any stage of selection. However candidates belonging to the Ex-servicemen who have acquired the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or equivalent certificate from Navy/Air force shall be eligible to apply for this notification as per G.O (P) No. 05/2018/P &ARD dated 19/04/2018. vi) Candidates require good physique besides the above general qualification for the following posts and candidates will be advised only after obtaining Medical Certificate (Medical Certificate should be issued by a Medical Officer in Govt. Service not below the rank of Assistant surgeon). 1 Matron , Balamandir Kozhikode 2 Watch Woman in the welfare institution under Social Justice Department. 3 Cleaner and Sewer Cleaner in the Public Works Department. 4 Gate Keeper Gr. II and Lascar Gr. II in the Printing Department. vii) Differently abled persons are not eligible for appointment to the post of Watcher, Watchman, Night Watcher, Marker (Medical College, Collegiate Education & Technical Education Department), Regular Marker (Animal Husbandry Department), Chainman (Land Revenue and Town Planning Department) and Lascar Grade II/Gate Keeper Grade II in Printing Department included in the Kerala Last Grade Service. viii) Women candidates are not eligible for appointment to the following posts. 1. Watchman (All categories), Watcher 2. Night Watchman 3. Guard/Night Guard 4. Chowkidar 5. Cleaner cum Conductor 6. Cleaner (Boat cleaner, Tractor Cleaner,Van Cleaner, Lorry Cleaner, Ambulance Cleaner) 7. Lascar 8. Gate keeper 9. Bull keeper 10. Animal Keeper in Drugs Control Department ix) Watch Woman in the welfare institution under Social Justice Department will be filled up from the woman candidates only. Any other posts identified for woman candidates will be filled up from the woman candidates after obtaining willingness. x) Persons professing Hindu faith alone will be appointed to the posts in the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Departments. xi) Vacancies for Last Grade Service in Kerala Muncipal Common Service will also be filled up from the Ranked List prepared in pursuance of this notification without obtaining willingness from the candidates. xii) A common Ranked List will be prepared for the various posts in the Last Grade services in pursuance of this notification in Pathanamthitta District. xiii) Probation: Every person appointed to a post in respect of this notification, shall be on probation for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of three years.
