18-41. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included). In the absence of qualified candidates within the specified age limit, the upper age limit will be relaxed up to 50 years. However, in no case shall it exceed 50 years.

Must have passed 7th standard and should not have acquired any degree.

i) Selection will be subject to the rules amended as per G.O (P) No. 12/2016/P&ARD dated 04.06.2016. ii) A separate rank list will be prepared for Pathanamthitta district. The list will be valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new rank list is published for the same post in the same district after one year, the current list will cease to be valid. iii) Selection will be conducted as per the special rules in G.O (M.S) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Candidates appointed cannot request a transfer to another district for five years from the date of joining. iv) Appointments to vacancies in Head of Department offices will be made from the district-wise rank list, starting from Thiruvananthapuram district as per G.O (M.S) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. v) Applications from candidates not belonging to SC/ST will be rejected. vi) Candidates who have acquired any degree (except those obtained based on Defence Service) are not eligible to apply. If it is found that a candidate has suppressed this information, their application will be rejected and they will be removed from the rank list. vii) For certain posts, good physique is required. Medical fitness certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon is required when demanded. viii) Differently abled candidates are not eligible for posts like Watcher, Watchman, Night Watcher, Marker, Chainman, Lascar Grade II/Gate Keeper Grade II. ix) Women candidates are not eligible for certain posts like Watchman, Night Watchman, Guard/Night Guard, Chowkidar, Cleaner, Lascar, Gate Keeper, Bull Keeper, Animal Keeper. x) For Watch Woman posts in Social Justice Department, only women candidates are considered. xi) Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department posts are reserved for Hindu believers only. xii) Probation: One year of probation within a continuous period of 3 years.
