Direct Recruitment (from candidates belonging to Muslim, LC/AI, OBC, Viswakarma, Scheduled Caste, Ezhava/ Thiyya/ Billava, SIUC Nadar and Dheevara communities only)

1) 18-39 Candidates who born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post [including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of Part II of General Conditions]. 2) 18-41 In the case of Scheduled Caste candidates, those who born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post [including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of Part II of General Conditions]. Note:- For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para 2 of the General Conditions under Part II of this notification [except para 2 (I)]

(i) A Pass in SSLC Examination or equivalent qualification. (ii) K.G.C.E in Food Production from Government Food Craft Institute or any other equivalent qualification recognised by Government of Kerala. Note:- 1) Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of K.S & S.S.R is applicable. 2) Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned.

(i) Conventional type applications for the above post will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall apply only through online facility available at the Kerala Public Service Commission website viz www.keralapsc.gov.in. (ii) Separate Ranked List will be prepared for each districts in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force for a period of 3 years from the date of publication of ranked list or until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidate during the currency of the ranked list published for the post in the district whichever is earlier. (iii) Ranked List for the post of Cook in S.T. Development was not available. As the qualification, scale of pay etc. for the post of Cook in S.C. Development and S.T. Development are same, advice was made against the vacancies of Cook in S.T. Development Department from the Ranked list of Cook in S.C. Development Department after obtaining willingness from candidates in the Ranked List for Cook in S.C. Development Department. Hence the following NCA turns of the vacancies of Cook in S.T. Development Department will also be filled from the ranked list prepared as per this notification:- (iv) The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(Ms) No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms) No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (v) Applications should not be submitted to more than one district in response to this notification. If applications are submitted contrary to the above direction, and if he/she is selected, his/her name will be removed from the Ranked List and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. Candidates should submit the applications for this post to the concerned District Office, where the vacancy is existing and should note the name of the concerned District against the relevant column of the online application. (vi) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the community other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to those candidates. (vii) If the Caste/Community claim in the application differs from the Caste/Community noted in S.S.L.C, then such changes are to be published in the Gazette and the same should be produced along with the Community Certificate/Non Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the Revenue Authorities at the time of One Time Verification or as and when required by the Commission. Probation:- Every person appointed to the category shall be on probation for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of three years.
