18-40. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2004 (Both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to SC/ST and other Backward communities. Note :- For concessions allowed in upper age limit subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (fifty) years of age, please see Para 2 of the General Conditions under Part II of this notification.

1) A Degree in Sanskrit and B. Ed/BT/LT conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A title of Oriental Learning in Sanskrit awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala and Certificate in Language Teachers Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. (A title of Oriental Learning in the concerned language awarded or recognised by the Universities in Kerala shall also be accepted in lieu of degree, if these titles have been declared as equivalent to Part III of the degree). LINK : https://www.keralapsc.gov.in/sites/default/files/inline-files/circular_12_18_1.pdf Note :- The Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC approved Universities or Institutions established through an act passed by Parliament/State Legislative Assembly in accordance with the conditions laid down in G.O.(M.S) No.526/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appointment in Government Service. 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption: 1. Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subject/ M.Ed. in any subject are exempted from acquiring TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16 and G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016, G.O.(P) No.15/2020/G.Edn. Dated 09.10.2020. 2. As per the conditions laid down in Government Circular No. 1866829/J3/2017 G. Edn. Dated 09.03.2018 those who passes CTET primary stage and CTET Elementary stage were excluded from KTET Cat. I & KTET Cat. II respectively. Also CTET qualification can't be considered as an alternative qualification for KTET Cat. III and Cat. IV.

(i) Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration to www.keralapsc.gov.in. Application submitted in any other manner will summarily be rejected. (ii) A Ranked List will be prepared for Palakkad in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies, if any, reported during the currency of the list. (iii) Candidates should submit the application for this post to Palakkad District and should note the name of the District against the relevant column of the Online application. (iv) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (Ms) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he or she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. 4% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified vide G.O.(P)No.7/2022/SJD dt. 28/10/2022). 'Siksha Sastri' Examination of the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan and `Siksha Sastri Examination of the Kameswar Singh Darbhanga University of Bihar will be treated as equivalent to B.Ed Degree Examination of the Universities in Kerala for the purpose of appointment as High School Teacher (Sanskrit). (G.O.(P) No. 55/87/ G.Edn. Dated 06.03.1987), M. Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. Post Graduates in Sanskrit are also eligible to apply for the post provided they have B.Ed/B.T/LT qualification. B.Ed should be in the concerned Language. KS & SSR part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable for selection to this post. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualifications specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT: Preference will be given to wives of Jawans, First Class Scouts and Guides, Laboratory Attenders, and Teachers of Government Primary and Nursery Schools as per specified G.O.s. Mode of Submitting Application: Candidates must register via One Time Registration at www.keralapsc.gov.in. No application fee. Candidates must keep a printout of the application. AADHAAR card should be added as I.D Proof. If written/OMR/Online Test is conducted, candidates must submit confirmation through their profile. Special Instructions: Discrepancies in Caste/Community, bogus claims, or non-compliance with General Conditions will lead to rejection or disciplinary action.
