18 - 44 i.e. only candidates born between 01.01.1996 and 02.01.1970 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed upto 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (fifty) years.

1) A pass in Standard VII/III Forum. 2) Must possess valid Driving Licence of 3 (three) years standing to drive Light Motor Vehicle with Driver's Badge. 3) Proficiency in driving Light Motor Vehicles is to be proved in a practical test conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission during the course of selection. Note:- 1) The Practical test includes H Test and Road Test. Those who pass H Test are eligible for Road Test. 2) Candidates should possess a current valid Driving Licence and badge on the entire stage of selection process, i.e. at the last date of receipt of application, OMR test, Practical test, interview, advice etc. 3) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a) ii is applicable. 4. Medical Fitness : (a) Ear : Hearing should be perfect (b) Eye: Distant Vision : 6/6 Snellen Near Vision : 0.5 Snellen Colour vision : Normal Night blindness : Nil (c) Muscle & Joints : No Paralysis, all joints with free movement. (d) Nervous System : Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. Note:- (i) Physically Handicapped candidates are not eligible to apply for the post. (ii) Candidates will have to furnish the full details regarding the Driving Licence and experience in driving along with qualifications in the application. (iii) A practical test will be conducted for the selection to this post. (iv) Candidates who qualify the practical test will have to produce a Medical Certificate in the prescribed form in original containing all relevant details as required in para 7(4) (except 7(4)(b)) from a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon. The prescribed form of Medical Certificate is given below. A Medical Certificate 7(4)(b) regarding eye sight from a Opthalmologist in Government Service also will have to be produced.

(i) Conventional type application will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall apply only through online application available at the Kerala Public Service Commission website. (ii) The above vacancy is now in existance. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancies and also for the vacancies reported for Special Recruitment from SC/ST during the pendency of the list. Candidates against vacancies reported exclusively for Scheduled Tribe will also be advised from this list and only in the absence of Scheduled Tribe candidates in this list, fresh notifications for vacancies reserved exclusively for Scheduled Tribes will be issued. The Ranked List prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. (iii) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS)No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS)No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in any one district are restricted from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (iv) Candidates from the Ranked List for districtwise selection will be advised for appointment against the Head Quarters vacancies also. Appointment against the Head Quarter vacancies will start from Thiruvananthapuram District. Separate option need not be given for this. Note:- Applications received from non SC/ST candidates will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued. Note:- Documents to prove qualifications, age, community etc. have to be produced as and when called for. Probation:- Every person appointed to the post shall, from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a cotinuous period of three years.
