19-33; Candidates born between 02.01.1988 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. [Including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of Part II of the General Conditions, with exceptions for SCCC converts from SC]. Note: For SCCC candidates who converted to Christianity from SC after attaining 18 years, the age limit shall be between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included).

(1) Educational Qualifications: Must have passed the Plus Two Examination conducted by the Higher Secondary Education Board, Government of Kerala or equivalent examination recognized by the Government of Kerala or Government of India. (2) Male/Female candidates should possess the following qualifications: a) Male Candidates:- (i) Physical Qualifications: Height-minimum 168 cm, Chest-minimum 81 cm with minimum 5 cm expansion. (ii) Physical Efficiency Test: Must qualify in any 5 (five) events out of the 8 (eight) events specified below of the National Physical Efficiency One Star standard: 1. 100 Meters Run - 14 Seconds 2. High Jump - 132.2 cm 3. Long Jump - 457.2 cm 4. Putting the Shot (7264 grams) - 609.6 cm 5. Throwing the Cricket Ball - 6096 cm 6. Rope Climbing (using hands only) - 365.80 cm 7. Pull up or Chinning - 8 times 8. 1500 Meters Run - 5 minutes 44 seconds (iii) Endurance Test :- All male candidates shall successfully complete a 2 kilometer run within 13 (thirteen) minutes. b) Female Candidates:- (i) Physical Qualifications: Height-minimum 157 cm (ii) Physical Efficiency Test: Must qualify in any 5 (five) events out of the 9 (nine) events specified below of the National Physical Efficiency One Star standard: 1. 100 Meters Run - 17 Seconds 2. High Jump - 106 cm 3. Long Jump - 305 cm 4. Putting the Shot (4 kg) - 400 cm 5. 200 Meters Run - 36 seconds 6. Throwing the Throwball - 1400 cm 7. Shuttle Race (4 x 25 m) - 26 seconds 8. Pull ups or Chinning - 8 times 9. Skipping (1 minute) - 80 times (iii) Endurance Test :- All female candidates shall successfully complete a 2 kilometer run within 15 (fifteen) minutes. (3) Medical Standards: All Male/Female candidates shall possess the following medical standards: (i) Ear: Hearing should be perfect. (ii) Eye: Must be certified without glasses and with vision as specified: - Right Eye: Distant Vision - 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision - 0.5 Snellen - Left Eye: Distant Vision - 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision - 0.5 Snellen - Colour Vision: Normal - Night Blindness: Must be absent (iii) Muscles and joints: Must be free from paralysis and joints capable of free movement. (iv) Nervous system: Perfectly normal and free from infectious diseases. Note: Must have full vision for each eye. Colour blindness, squint, or morbid conditions of eyes/lids are disqualifications.

(i) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. (ii) NCC certificates holders ('A', 'B', 'C') will be awarded extra marks as per G.O.(MS) No. 112/2007/HEDN dated 21.08.2007. (iii) Candidates appointed shall undergo one year training in any of the Forest Training Schools. (iv) Probation: Three years total within three years of joining, of which two years shall be probation.
