18-40, candidates born between 02/01/1983 and 01/01/2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation is applicable to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per general rules.

Qualifications

1. Pass in 7th Standard or equivalent qualification. 2. Must possess a valid Driving License of 3 years standing for driving Light Motor Vehicles with Driver's Badge. (The candidate's driving license must be valid at all stages of selection, i.e., last date of receipt of application, date of written test, practical test, interview, and date of appointment). 3. Medical Fitness: (i) Ear: Perfect hearing ability. (ii) Eye: (Both eyes) Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen Colour Vision: Normal Night Blindness: Should not have (iii) Muscles and Joints: No paralysis. All joints should be capable of effortless movement. (iv) Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases.

Notes

1) Vacancies mentioned are for the General Category. Vacancies arising in the future will be filled in a 1:1 ratio from General and Society categories (Part I and Part II). The first vacancy belongs to the General Category. 2) The rank list prepared will be valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. If no one is advised from the list within three years, the list may be extended for one more year or until a new list is published, whichever is earlier. 3) Selection is conducted at the State level. 4) Probation: Two years of service within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining. 5) Candidates must possess a medical certificate regarding physical fitness and vision in the prescribed format from an Assistant Surgeon and an Ophthalmologist respectively, to be produced when required by the Commission. 6) Candidates must upload a photo taken within 6 months of the application date. The photo must have the name and date of taking the photo clearly marked. 7) Applications are to be submitted online via the Kerala PSC website.
