18-36. Candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Other backward communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation. (For other conditions regarding age relaxation, see Part II of the Gazette Notification, Para 2). Note: In addition to the age relaxation allowed under the general rules for employees of the Technical Education Department, they shall be given an age relaxation of up to 10 years in the upper age limit based on their length of service. In any case, the upper age limit shall not exceed 50 years as on 01.01.2022.

Diploma in Engineering / Technology in the concerned branch from a University or Government recognized institution after 3 years of regular study or equivalent qualification. (GO(P)No.503/2012/H.Edn. Dated 12.10.2012) Note: (a) KS & SSR Part-II Rule 10(a) (ii) is applicable. (b) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, executive orders of the Government or standing orders of the Commission declaring qualifications as equivalent to the prescribed qualification, or qualifications prescribed by the Special Rules as equivalent to the qualifications prescribed, or higher qualifications than the basic qualification prescribed, shall be accepted. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications must be produced when required by the Commission.

Note I: (a) The vacancies shown above are currently existing. The rank list prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. However, if a new rank list is published for the same post after one year, the rank list prepared in pursuance of this notification will cease to be in force from that date. Advice will be made from the list for the vacancies reported during the currency of the list. (b) 3% of vacancies are reserved for differently abled candidates (Locomotor disability/Cerebral palsy, Hearing impairment, Low vision) as per GO(P) No.1/2013/S.W.D dated 03.01.2013 and GO(P) No.20/2018/S.W.D dated 26.11.2018. Workshop Instructor/Demonstrator - Locomotor disability/Cerebral palsy, Hearing impairment, Low vision. Instructor Grade II/Draftsman Grade II - Low vision only. Blind candidates are not eligible to apply for this post. Note II: (a) Candidates claiming caste/community difference in the application compared to the SSLC book must produce a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate/Caste Certificate along with the Gazette notification regarding the caste change at the time of certificate verification. (b) Candidates must read the general conditions in Part II of the Gazette notification before applying. (c) If any candidate submits false claims regarding qualification, experience, etc., they will be liable for disciplinary/legal action as per Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure, including disqualification, debarment from applying to the Commission, cancellation of answer scripts, removal from service if already appointed, etc.
