Direct Recruitment (Special recruitment for Scheduled Tribes only - Paniyan, Adiyan, Kattunaikkan communities residing in settlement colonies in the forest and forest fringes in Wayanad District only)

19 - 36. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.1998 (both dates included). Other age relaxations are not applicable for this selection.

1) Educational Qualification :- Pass in Plus Two (+2) examination or its equivalent. Note :- 1) In the absence of qualified candidates, those who have passed 8th Standard will also be considered. 2) The rules of reservation and relevant part of KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)ii are applicable to this post. 2) Physical Measurement :- Height-Minimum 150 cm. (For ST candidates, minimum height is 148 cm). 3) Physical Efficiency and Vision :- (i) Must be physically fit to perform outdoor duties. Fitness Certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon should be produced as and when called for. (ii) Eye sight without glasses should be as specified below: Right Eye (a) Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen (b) Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen (c) Colour Vision: Normal (d) Night Blindness: Nil Left Eye (a) Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen (b) Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen (c) Colour Vision: Normal (d) Night Blindness: Nil Note :- (1) Each eye must have full vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eye or lids will be treated as disqualification. (2) Ear, nose, throat and other physical deformities are disqualifications. Medical Certificate in the prescribed format from an Assistant Surgeon / Junior Consultant in Government Service should be produced at the time of preliminary physical examination. 4) Physical Efficiency Test :- Candidates must qualify in any 3 events out of the 8 events specified for Women under National Physical Efficiency Standard: 1. 100 Metres Run: 17 Seconds 2. High Jump: 106 cm 3. Long Jump: 305 cm 4. Putting the Shot (4000 grams): 488 cm 5. 200 Metres Run: 36 Seconds 6. Throwing Cricket Ball: 1400 cm 7. Shuttle Run (2500 cm X 400 CM): 26 Seconds 8. Skipping (One Minute): 80 Times

1. Physically handicapped and male candidates are not eligible to apply. 2. Applications submitted by candidates belonging to other categories will be rejected. 3. NCC certificate holders will be given additional marks based on G.O (MS) No. 112/2007/H&FWD dated 21.08.2007. 4. Selected candidates have to undergo basic training for not less than 6 months (minimum 180 working days) as directed by the Excise Commissioner. 5. Applications along with necessary certificates should be sent to the District Officer, KPSC District Office, Wayanad.
