Forest Watcher (Special Recruitment)

Direct recruitment from Scheduled Tribe candidates who depend on the forest for their livelihood.

18-50. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1971 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). No other age relaxation is allowed.

Candidates must be healthy, literate youth residing in tribal settlements in or near the forest areas of Kerala.

1. Only male candidates of this category are eligible to apply. 2. Applications submitted by candidates who do not belong to the forest-dependent Scheduled Tribe category will be rejected. No separate notification will be given for such rejection. 3. Physically disabled persons are not eligible to apply for this post. 4. Selected candidates will be given three months of training at a Forest School/Training Centre. 5. Preference will be given to children of unmarried mothers and those serving as temporary watchers in the Forest Department when preparing the rank list. 6. Applications must be sent to the respective District Officers in the prescribed format provided in the notification. No application fee. 7. If information in the application or certificates submitted is found to be false, the appointment recommendation will be cancelled without notice. 8. Applications sent to the Secretary, Additional Secretary, Regional Officer, or Deputy Secretary of the Kerala Public Service Commission instead of the respective District Offices will be rejected. 9. Appointments will be made based on the rank list prepared from this notification and in accordance with the provisions of G.O (Ms) 53/13/F&WLD dated 15.05.2013 and G.O (Ms) 80/13/Forest dated 23.08.2013.
