18-41. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). Relaxation up to 50 years is allowed for qualified candidates in the absence of candidates within the prescribed age limit, but in no case shall it exceed 50 years.

(1) Must have passed SSLC Examination. (2) Must have passed the Laboratory Attenders Test conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission. Note: It is not mandatory to have passed the Laboratory Attenders Test at the time of appointment. The test must be passed within the probation period.

(i) A separate rank list will be prepared for Idukki district. The rank list will remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new rank list is published for the same post in the same district after one year, the rank list prepared under this notification will cease to be in force. Appointments will be made from this list for the vacancies shown above and for any further vacancies of Scheduled Tribes reported during the validity of the list. (ii) Selection will be made on a district-wise basis in accordance with G.O (M.S) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A person appointed from the district-wise rank list will not be allowed transfer to any other district for five years from the date of commencement of service. Any transfer after five years will be subject to the provisions of G.O (M.S) 4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in government service in the same post in the same department in any district are not eligible to apply under this notification, but can apply for higher posts. (iii) Candidates should apply only to the district for which vacancies are notified and must record the name of the district in the specified column. If a candidate applies to more than one district, their applications will be rejected and disciplinary action will be taken. (iv) In case of any discrepancy in the caste records in the SSLC book, candidates must claim the correct caste in the application and produce a caste certificate issued by the Revenue authorities and the relevant Gazette notification at the time of OTR verification. (v) Candidates belonging to categories other than Scheduled Tribes will be rejected. (vi) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable to this selection. Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must produce the government order proving the equivalency at the time of verification. (vii) Candidates must upload a photo taken after 31.12.2011 with their name and date of photo clearly recorded at the bottom. The photo is valid for 10 years. (viii) No application fee. (ix) Candidates must keep a soft copy/print out of the online application for future use. (x) Candidates with Aadhar card must provide it as an identity document in their profile. (xi) If a written/OMR/online test is conducted, candidates must provide confirmation through their OTR profile. Only those who provide confirmation can download the admission ticket. (xii) Candidates who make false claims regarding qualifications and experience and fail to appear for the test after providing confirmation will face disciplinary action as per KPSC Rules of Procedure Rule 22.
