18-40. Only candidates born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post. Other Backward Classes and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation. Note: For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions under Part II of the Gazette Notification.

1. A Degree in the concerned subject and BEd/BT in the concerned subject both conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. (Concerned subjects are specified in Notes below. ) 2. Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET Category III) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption : Candidates who have qualified C-TET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subjects and M.Ed in any subject are exempted from acquiring TET [GO(P)No 145/16/GEdn dated 30.08.2016 and GO(P)No 206/16/GEdn dated 08.12.2016, GO(P)No 15/2020/GEdn dated 09.10.2020]. C-TET qualification cannot be considered as an alternative qualification for K-TET Cat.III [GO(P)No 3/2024/ GEdn dated 01.02.2024].

i Separate Ranked list will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancy and also against the vacancies, if any reported during the currency of the list. In case no candidate is advised from the ranked list till the expiry period of three years, the duration of the ranked list shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier. ii The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in GO(MS) No 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in GO(MS) No 4/61/PD, dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. iii Candidates should submit application for the post to anyone of the above districts and should note the name of that district against the relevant column in the application. Applications should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification. If applications are sent contrary to the above direction and if he/she is selected, his/her application will be rejected and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. 4% of the total vacancies reported for the above post shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified vide GO(P)No 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023.
