18-36. Candidates born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation is applicable to SC/ST and other backward communities.

1) Must have passed 7th Standard, but should not have acquired a Degree. 2) Must have a certificate of experience of not less than one year as 'Aya' for children in any institution run by the Government or any institution registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Central Act XXI of 1860) or the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955 (Act XII of 1955) or any institution run by local bodies using Government grant or any aided autonomous institution.

Note:- (i) A separate Ranked List will be prepared for Thrissur district in pursuance of this notification. The list thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years, provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list is published after the expiry of the minimum period of one year. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the vacancies reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the list. In case no candidate is advised from the ranked list till the expiry of the maximum period of three years, the duration of the ranked list shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list, whichever is earlier. (ii) Vacancies of this post reported from the Social Justice Department will also be filled from the ranked list prepared in pursuance of this notification. (iii) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a district-wise basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.71. A person advised for appointment from a ranked list prepared on a district-wise basis is not eligible to transfer to another district for a period of five years from the date of commencement of service. After five years, transfer to another district will be allowed subject to the rules contained in G.O.(P) No. 4/61 dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding the same post in any one district are not eligible to apply for this notification. However, they can apply for higher/lower posts. (iv) Candidates should submit their application for this post to the district specified above and should note the name of the district in the relevant column of the application. (v) Experience certificate must be in the prescribed format. (vi) All experience certificates shall be duly certified by the concerned Controlling Officer/Head of Office of the Government. (vii) Verification of experience certificates will be subject to scrutiny and legal action will be taken against candidates who submit fake certificates. (viii) Candidates claiming experience must upload the scanned image of the experience certificate in the prescribed format in their profile to apply. However, candidates must produce the original experience certificate when required by the Commission.
