18-26. Candidates born between 02.01.1997 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post. Note:- Maximum age limit shall be relaxed upto 29 years for candidates belonging to other backward communities and 31 years for SC/ST candidates. [For other conditions regarding age relaxation, please see para 2(i) of the General Conditions.] Other conditions regarding age relaxation in Para (2) of the General Conditions are not applicable to this selection.

(a) Educational Qualifications: Pass in Higher Secondary (Plus Two) Examination or its equivalent Note: i) In the case of SC and ST candidates who have failed in the Higher Secondary (Plus Two) examination shall also be considered if sufficient number of qualified candidates not available to fill up the Quota reserved for SC and ST. ii) Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable. (iii) In addition to the qualification specified in the Notification, the qualification declared by Government through executive orders or standing orders, as equivalent to the prescribed educational qualification and the higher qualifications of the notified and prescribed basic qualifications shall be accepted. The Government Order regarding the equivalent qualification/higher qualification shall be produced as and when called for by the Commission. (b) Physical Qualifications: (i) Height : A minimum of 157 cm. Note: Minimum Height measurement shall be 150 cm for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities. (ii) Eye Sight: Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses. (ii) Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eye or lids of either eyes shall be a disqualification. (iii) Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, Varicose vein, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding tooth, defective speech and hearing. (c) Must qualify in any five events out of eight events specified below of the National Physical Efficiency, One Star Standard Test. Sl.No. Events One Star Standards 1. 100 Meters Run 17 Seconds 2. Skipping (One minute) 80 times Note: - Physical measurement of candidates will be taken at the time of physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement will not be admitted for the physical efficiency test. If accidents or injuries happen to a candidate while participating in the physical efficiency test, she will not be given no further chance to participate in the test.

Note: Differently abled candidates and Male candidates are not eligible to apply in response to this notification. The recruitment to the post of Woman Police Constable will only be to the Woman Police Battalion and the vacancies occurring in the district will be filled up by transferring the officers on the basis of Advice/Rank Seniority. (GO(Rt)No. 1484/2017/Home dated 05.06.2017). Note: The Ranked list published shall cease to be in force after one year from the date of finalization of the ranked list. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies reported after the validity period of previous ranked list and that may be reported to the Commission during the period of currency of the ranked list as per this category. Details regarding standards of vision should be clearly stated in the Certificate as given above and vague statement such as Vision Normal/average/good will not be accepted. Specification for each eye should be stated separately. If the specifications are not as indicated above, the officer issuing the Certificate should certify whether the candidate has got better standards of vision or worse standards of vision as the case may be, otherwise the Certificate will not be accepted. (A) In the case of difference in caste/community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC Book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette notification in this regard, along with Non Creamy Layer Certificate/Community Certificate at the time of Certificate Verification. (B) Candidates are required to acquaint themselves with the instruction given in the notification as Part-II, General Conditions before submitting application for the post. Applications which are not submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down in the General Conditions are liable to be rejected. (C) Appropriate disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure shall be initiated against those candidates who submit applications with bogus claims of qualification regarding education, experience etc., and are liable to be qualified for being considered for a particular post for debarment from applying to the Commission either permanently or for any period or the invalidation of their answer scripts or products in a written/practical test or the initiation of criminal or other proceedings against them or their removal or dismissal from office or the ordering of any other disciplinary action against them if they have already been appointed, or any one or more of the above.
