Appointment by transfer

Candidates must have been born on or before 01.01.1999. The upper age limit is not applicable for selection by transfer.

1. Must have a Post Graduate Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the concerned subject by any University in Kerala. 2. i) Must have acquired a B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any University in Kerala. ii) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed. Degree in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. iii) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified in items (i) and (ii) above, persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. 3. Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Non-Vocational Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the Government of Kerala.

Note: 1. Candidates who have acquired M.Ed. in the concerned subject recognized by any University in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed. qualification. 2. Additional marks will be given to candidates who have acquired Ph.D./M.Phil./Post Doctoral Fellowship in the concerned subject as per the specified criteria. 3. Qualifications other than those prescribed in this notification, which are declared as equivalent by the Government or the Commission, will be accepted. 4. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 a(ii) is applicable. Relaxations: 1. Candidates who have passed the State Level Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of College Lecturer conducted by the Government of Kerala are exempted from the SET qualification. 2. Candidates who have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of HSST conducted by the Government of Kerala are exempted from the SET qualification. 3. Candidates who have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) are exempted from the SET qualification. 4. Candidates who have acquired Ph.D./M.Phil./M.Ed. are exempted from the SET qualification, provided the M.Phil. is in the concerned subject from a recognized University in Kerala. 5. Candidates who have submitted Ph.D. thesis or passed M.Phil. are exempted from the SET qualification for the period as per UGC norms. 6. SC/ST and differently-abled candidates are eligible for 5% mark relaxation for Post Graduation as per G.O.(Ms).No.288/15/Gl.Edn. dated 13.11.2015. Explanation: Non-Vocational Teacher means a post where teaching is done for 15 periods or more per week in each subject. Probation: Candidates appointed to this post shall be on probation for a period of two years within a continuous service of three years.
