(I) By Transfer (Category No. 565/2022) From among qualified Headmasters, High School Teachers and Higher Secondary School Teachers in the Kerala General Education Subordinate Service. Note: In the absence of qualified hands under item (I) above, by Direct Recruitment. (II) Direct Recruitment (Category No. 566/2022)
Age Limit
(1) By Transfer: - Not applicable. (2) Direct Recruitment:- 22-40. Only candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.00.2000 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to Other Backward Communities and SC/ST. (For other conditions regarding age relaxations, please see Part II, Para 2 of the General Conditions)
Qualifications
1) Master's Degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks or its equivalent grade and good academic record. (G.O.(P) No. 115/2008/H.Edn. Dated 27.09.2008) 2) M.Ed. Degree with not less than 55% marks. (G.O.(P)No.102/2011/H.Edn. Dated 19.07.2011) 3) Teaching experience for three years after acquiring professional qualification, in a School or College. 4) Must have passed a Comprehensive Test (SET) for this purpose conducted by the University Grants Commission or any agency specially authorized by the State Government. In the case of those who possess parallel qualifications, adequate knowledge in Malayalam is preferable.
Notes
Note I: Candidates appointed as Assistant Professor in Physical Science should possess M.Sc. Degree in Physics or Chemistry and M.Ed. with Specialisation in Teaching Physical Science. Note II: 1) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. 2) Marks awarded for Non-Qualifying Degrees (Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship) will be added to the weightage marks for ranking. 3) Non-Qualifying qualifications means the additional qualifications over and above the minimum qualifications required for the post. 4) Weightage marks will be given only for those Non-Qualifying degrees which are acquired on or before the last date for receipt of applications.
