20-40 only candidates born between 02/01/1985 and 01/01/2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post. Usual age relaxation will be given to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward communities. 1. B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering of the Kerala University or its equivalent. OR 2. B.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering of the Madras University or its equivalent. OR 3. Associate Membership Diploma of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical Engineering or any other qualifications recognised as equivalent to a degree. OR 4. Pass in Section A & B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical Engineering. OR 5. Any other qualification recognised by the Government as equivalent to B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering of the Kerala University.

Note:- (1) Persons appointed to the above post shall be liable notwithstanding that at the time of requisition of the services, they are holding higher appointments to serve for a minimum period of 4 years (including periods spent on training if any) in the Defence Service or on assignment relating to Defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad if so required. This liability to serve in Defence Service will be limited to the first 10 years of service and will not ordinarily apply to persons above 40 years of age. (2) 4% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled Candidates with disabilities as specified vide G.O.(P)No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023.. (Link) Present Order for Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 Section 34 Note: i) Rule 10 a (ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable. ii) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to the qualification specified for the post, in the Special Rules or qualifications found acceptable by the Commission since acceptance of equivalent qualification is provided for in the Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. iii) The candidates those who submit application claiming equivalent /Higher Qualificaton shall produce the relevant Governement orders or Equivalency Certificates at the time of verification. Probation: Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he/she joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
