Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to LC/AI and SC communities only)

(1) For LC/AI :- 18-39. Only candidates born between 2.1.1975 and 1.1.1996 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. (2) for SC : 18-41 Only candidates born between 2.1.1973 and 1.1.1996 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Note :- For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions under Part II of this Notification except para 2 (i).

1) Passed in standard VII (new) or its equivalent qualification. 2) Pass in Madras Government Technical Examination or Kerala Government Technical Examination (Lower) in Book Binding. Note:- (i) In the absence of candidates possessing the above qualifications, persons having 18 months experience in Book Binding in a Government Department/Registered Institution shall be considered, provided that they shall prove their proficiency in a practical test to be conducted by the Public Service Commission. (ii) The term `Registered Institution' referred to above means a firm or a company or a Society registered under the Companies Act or Charitable Societies or Co-op Societies Act or Small Scale Industrial units registered with the Industries Development Commission (SSI) or any other Act recognised by Government to enable the firm/company/Society/Unit to be recognised as legal entity.

(i) Conventional type applications will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall apply only through online facility available at the Kerala Public Service Commission website viz www.keralapsc.gov.in. (ii) In the absence of SC candidates, ST candidates will also be considered for the post in Kazaragod Dist. (iii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to these candidates. (iv) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for above District in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following dates in following districts. (v) The candidates should submit application for the post to the concerned district where the vacancy is in existing for their respective community and shall note the name of that district against the relevant column in the online application. Applications should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification. If applications are sent contrary to the above direction, and if he/she is selected, his/her name will be removed from the Ranked List and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. (v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G O (MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G O (MS) No.4/61/PD, dated 2.1.1961. Candidates already in Government Service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified.
