20 - 39 Only candidates born between 02.01.1975 and 01.01.1994 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities. (for other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para 2 of the General Conditions). Note:- Officers of the Technical Education, Public Works, Public Health Engineering, Industries and Architecture and Town Planning Departments may also apply. They will be allowed age relaxation to the extent of their service in those departments. (Maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 years as on 01.01.2014.)

For all subjects except Sl. No. 3 :- BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech in relevant branch with first class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech. For Sl No. 3 :- (Assistant Professor in Architecture) Bachelors and Masters Degree in Architecture with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Masters degree. Note: Rule 10(a) (ii) of Part II KS &SSR is applicable. Liability to serve in Defence Services: Persons appointed to the post shall be liable, notwithstanding that at the time of requisition they are holding higher appointments, to serve for a minimum period of four years (including period spent in training) in the Defence Services or on assignments relating to Defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad, if so required. The liability to serve in the Defence Services will be limited to the first 10 years of service and will not ordinarily apply to persons above 40 years of age.

Three percentage (3%) of the vacancies are reserved for the Physically Handicapped persons with Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy and Low Vision [As per GO (P) No. 61/12/SWD dated 17.10.2012] The list of selected candidates published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancy noted above and the vacancies that may be reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the list. Before applying for the post, candidates should register as per “ONE TIME REGISTRATION” scheme through the official website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in. Those who have already registered can apply by logging into their profile using his/her user ID and password. No application fee is required. Candidates can view, rectify defects and print the details in the registration card after entering the home page. Candidates are responsible to ensure correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password and they shall keep in mind the user ID for further communication with the Commission. Applications which are submitted not in accordance with the instructions given in the website will be summarily rejected. Documents to prove Qualification, experience, age, community etc have to be produced as and when called for by the Commission.
