Direct Recruitment (Special recruitment from among Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates only).

19-41. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included). Note: Relaxation of upper age limit up to 50 years is allowed for qualified candidates in the specified age group, but in no case shall it exceed 50 years.

(1) Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering from Kerala Agricultural University. (2) In the absence of the above, National Trade Certificate in any of the following trades from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI): (a) Mechanic (Tractor) (b) Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) (c) Mechanic (Diesel) (d) Fitter With at least one year of practical experience in the relevant trade. This should be obtained after acquiring the ITI Trade Certificate. The Commission will conduct a practical test to determine the proficiency of the candidates in this job. (3) Candidates must possess a valid Tractor Driving License.

Note: (i) A separate Ranked List will be prepared for Kannur district. The list will remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new list is published after one year, the old list will cease to be in force. Appointments will be made from the ranked list for the vacancies reported during the validity of the list. (ii) Selection is district-wise as per G.O (M.S) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Candidates appointed cannot be transferred to another district for five years. After five years, transfer is subject to G.O (M.S) 4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in government service in the same post in the same department in any district are not eligible to apply. - Applications from candidates not belonging to SC/ST will be rejected. - KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. - Candidates must produce a medical certificate regarding physical fitness from a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon and a vision certificate from an Ophthalmologist in government service when required by the Commission. - Experience certificates must be countersigned by the concerned Controlling Officer/Head of Department of the Government. False certificates will lead to legal action. - Candidates must keep a soft copy/print out of the online application for future use. - Candidates with Aadhaar card should provide it as an identity document in their profile. - If a written/OMR/online test is conducted, confirmation must be submitted through the profile. Only those who submit confirmation can download the admission ticket. - General rules regarding reservation (except those mentioned in Part II, Rule 3(c) of Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules) are not applicable to this selection. - Any false information regarding qualification or experience will lead to disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure.
