Age Limit
19-31, Candidates should be born between 02.01.1992 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included). Other backward communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation as per paragraph 2(i) of the general conditions. In no case, the upper age limit shall exceed 50 (fifty) years.
Qualifications
1. Educational Qualification: Must have passed Plus Two or equivalent examination. 2. Physical Qualifications: Must have a minimum height of 152 cm. For SC/ST candidates, minimum height is 150 cm. 3. Endurance Test: All candidates must successfully complete an endurance test of running 2.5 kilometers within 15 minutes. 4. Physical Efficiency Test: Must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items in the National Physical Efficiency Test (One Star Standard). 5. Physical Fitness and Vision: Must be physically fit and possess vision standards as specified (Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes).
Notes
(i) The name of the post, age limit, and qualifications are as per G.O(P)No.113/08/TD (SRO No.587/2008), 10.11.2010 G.O(P)No.264/10/TD (SRO No.1025/10), 03.10.2015 G.O(P)No.178/2015/TD (SRO No.669/2015), and 21.10.2018 G.O(P)No.766/2018/TD. (ii) Candidates cannot apply for more than one district. (iii) Separate rank lists will be prepared for each district. (iv) Selection is district-wise as per GO(Ms)No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. (v) NCC 'A', 'B', 'C' certificate holders get 2%, 3%, 5% weightage marks respectively. (vi) Selected candidates must undergo 3 years of training, with 2 years on probation. (vii) Candidates must complete basic training (minimum 180 working days) to be appointed to the permanent post. (viii) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. (ix) Medical certificate in the prescribed format from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant is mandatory.
