Age Limit
20 - 36, Candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for the post. Note:- Other conditions regarding age relaxation in para(2) of the general conditions are not applicable to this selection.
Qualifications
(a) Educational: 1. Pass in SSLC or its equivalent 2. Those who have failed in SSLC shall also be considered if sufficient number of qualified candidates are not available to fill up the quota. (b) Physical Qualifications: (i) Height : A minimum of 160cm. (ii) Chest : A minimum of 76 cm and with a minimum expansion of 5cm. (iii) Eye Sight: Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses. Vision Right Eye Left Eye (a) Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen 6/6 Snellen (b) Near Vision 0.5 Snellen 0.5 Snellen (c) Must qualify in any five events out of eight events specified below of the National Physical Efficiency, One Star Standard Test.
Notes
Note: Women candidates and differently abled candidates are not eligible to apply in response to this notification. Selection will be made on Battalion wise basis. Candidates appointed to the various Battalions will be allowed transfer only to the District Armed Reserves concerned as shown against the Battalions noted above. (i) Candidates are prohibited from applying to more than one Battalion in response to this notification. (ii) Separate ranked lists for each Battalion will be published. The Ranked list thus published shall cease to be in force after one year from the date of finalization of the ranked list. Training: Persons recruited direct for appointment to the category of Havildar shall undergo training for a period of nine months in the Police Training College and/or in such other institutions as may be specified by Government or Director General of Police. Probation: Every person appointed by direct recruitment on the above post shall from the date on which he/she joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
