18-40. Candidates born between 02/01/1983 and 01/01/2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. SC/ST and other backward communities are eligible for usual age relaxation as per rules. (Including the relaxation mentioned in Para 2(i) of General Conditions). Note: The maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.

1) A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. 2) a) A pass in Certificate in Physical Education Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. Note: Certificates in Physical Education issued by other States/Tamil Nadu are accepted as equivalent to the above qualification (GO (MS) No 213/2010/G.Edn dated 1.11.2010). GO(MS) No. 247/2011/G.Edn dated 07.12.2011 states that D.P.Ed course conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board is equivalent to C.P.Ed course of Kerala Government. OR b) A pass in Vocational Higher Secondary Certificate Course in Physical Education conducted by Vocational Higher Secondary Education Board, Kerala or its equivalent. OR c) A pass in B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed or any other degree in Physical Education from any of the Universities in Kerala or recognized by them. [As per G.O(MS)No.48/2001/G.Edn. dated 9.2.2001]. OR d) Ex-servicemen who possess SSLC or its equivalent qualification and possess any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply: i) Army Physical Training Course (Assistant Instructor's Basic Course in Physical Education). ii) Army Physical Training Corps Instructors Course. iii) Naval Physical Training Corps Instructors Course. iv) Air Force Ground Training Instructors Course. 3) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET - IV) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption: Candidates who have acquired M.Ed or NET/SET/SLET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the concerned subject are exempted from the requirement of passing the K-TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016).

1. Candidates must register as per One Time Registration on the official website www.keralapsc.gov.in. 2. Separate Ranked List will be prepared for Kasaragod district. 3. Candidates must apply only to Kasaragod district. 4. Selection is based on district-wise rules as per G.O (MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. 5. Physically disabled candidates are not eligible to apply for this post. 6. Special concessions for age and appointment are provided for wives of Jawan, Laboratory Attendants in the department, and First Class Scouts and Guides. 7. Candidates must upload a photograph taken within 6 months of the date of registration. The photograph must have the name and date of taking the photo clearly marked. 8. No application fee. 9. Candidates must keep a soft copy/print out of the online application. 10. Candidates must provide confirmation for the exam through their profile. Admission tickets will be available 15 days before the exam date.
