1 Educational Qualifications: Passed Plus Two examination conducted by the Higher Secondary Education Board, Kerala or equivalent examination recognized by the Government of Kerala or the Government of India. (2) Male/Female candidates should possess the following qualifications: a) Male Candidates:- (i) Physical Qualifications : Height-Minimum 168 cm, Chest-Minimum 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. (ii) Physical Efficiency Test All male candidates must qualify in at least 5(five) events out of the 8 (eight) events given below having one star standard. 1. 100 Meters Run - 14 Seconds 2. High Jump - 132.2 cm 3. Long Jump - 457.2 cm 4. Putting the shot (7264 grams) - 609.6 cm 5. Throwing the cricket ball - 6096 cm 6. Rope climbing (using hands only) - 365.80 cm 7. Pull up or Chinning - 8 times 8. 1500 Meters Run - 5 minutes 44 seconds (iii) Endurance Test :- All male candidates should successfully complete 2 kilometers run within 13 (thirteen) minutes. b) Female Candidates : (i) Physical Qualifications: Height-Minimum 157 cm (ii) Physical Efficiency Test: All female candidates must qualify in at least 5 (five) events out of the 9 (nine) events given below having one star standard. 1 100 Meters Run - 17 seconds 2 High Jump - 106 cm 3 Long Jump - 305 cm 4 Putting the shot (4 kg.) - 400 cm 5 200 Meters Run - 36 seconds 6 Throwing the throw ball - 1400 cm 7 Shuttle race (4 x 25 m) - 26 seconds 8 Pull ups or Chinning - 8 times 9 Skipping (1 minute) - 80 times (iii) Endurance Test :- All female candidates should successfully complete 2 kilometers run within 15 (fifteen) minutes. (3) Medical Standards: All Male/Female candidates should possess the medical standards given below: (i) Ear: Hearing should be perfect. (ii) Eye : Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses. Vision Right Eye Left Eye a) Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen 6/6 Snellen b) Near Vision 0.5 Snellen 0.5 Snellen c) Colour Vision Normal d) Night Blindness Nil (iii) Muscles and joints: Free from paralysis and all joints with free movements. (iv) Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases.

(i) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those included in this notification will be summarily rejected without any notice. (ii) In the event of any difference in caste noted in the SSLC Book and that claimed in the application, the candidate shall produce a Gazette notification along with the community certificate/Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the Revenue Authority and the concerned Gazette Notification at the time of verification of selection. (iii) The vacancies reported are present. The Ranked Lists published as per this notification for Wayanad, Kannur and Ernakulam districts shall remain in force till the exhaust of vacancies set apart for the community or till the exhaustion of the Ranked Lists or 3 years from the date of publication, whichever is earlier. (iv) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a) (ii) is applicable. (v) Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of the qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the Government Order proving equivalency at the time of verification. (vi) Candidates' physical measurements will be taken. Those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurements will be eliminated from the selection. (vii) Candidates who suffer accident or injury while participating in the Physical Efficiency Test or Endurance Test will not be given another chance. (viii) Medical certificate in the prescribed format from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant in Government Service should be produced at the time of Physical Efficiency Test/Endurance Test and should be uploaded in the profile at the time of certificate verification. (ix) Candidates selected to the post shall undergo training in any of the Forest Training Schools for one year. Probation of candidates who fail to complete training successfully will be terminated and they will be discharged from service. (x) Persons appointed through direct recruitment shall be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining duty. (xi) NCC 'A', 'B', 'C' Certificate holders will be given marks weightage as per G.O (MS) No. 112/2007/HEdgn dated 21.08.2007. (xii) Candidates must register as per One Time Registration with the official website of KPSC before applying.
