Direct Recruitment (from among Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities only. In the absence of candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe community, applications of Scheduled Caste community will also be considered. If no candidates are available from the SC community, ST candidates will be considered).

18-45. Only candidates born between 02.01.1975 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post (including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions). Note :- Maximum upper age limit shall be 50 (Fifty) years in any case subject to the condition that the upper age limit consequent to the special concessions referred to in part II of this Notification (except rule 2(i)) is not violated. 1 A Degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR Pre-Degree with Part III Arabic (Special Optional) of the University of Calicut. OR Plus Two Part III Arabic (Optional) course conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala. OR A Pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala with Arabic as First Language (Full Mark) Paper I and II. OR A pass in SSLC Examination or equivalent examination and possessing any one of the following qualifications: 1. Arabic Munshi Higher Examination (Paper I & II) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 2. Arabic Munshi Lower Examination (Paper I & II) conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 3. Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 4. Entrance Examination to Arabic conducted by the Universities of Kerala or Calicut. Note: In addition to the above qualifications, BA Arabic & Islamic History double main degree conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala preferred vide G.O.(Ms) No.8/19/G.Edn dated 14.01.2019 will also be considered as a qualification for this post. 2 Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post. Exemption:- 1. Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed in the respective subjects are exempted from acquiring TET qualification. (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.2016, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016). Note:(1) As per GO(P) No 15/2020/G.Edn dated 09.10.2020, M.Ed is not made mandatory for KTET instead of relevant subject. (2) M.Phil awarded in the concerned subject should be from any of the Universities in Kerala or recognized as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. (3) Candidates possessing minimum qualification of SSLC or equivalent examination conducted by Commissioner for Government Examinations as per G.O.(MS) No.232/09/G.Edn dated 30.11.2009 will be considered. (4) Those candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of the qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the concerned qualification, failing which it will not be treated as eligible qualification. (5) KS&SSR Part II Rule 10 a(ii) is applicable for this post.

(i) Applications submitted through online only 'One Time Registration' will be accepted. Applications submitted in any other mode will be summarily rejected. (ii) Selection to this post will be made on the basis of district-wise rank lists prepared in accordance with the special rules issued vide G.O.(MS) No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A person selected and appointed from the district-wise rank list prepared shall not be transferred to another district within five years from the date of commencement of service in the district. But after 5 years, inter district transfer is permitted subject to the rules in G.O.(MS) No.04/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates now working in Government service in the same post in any one district are not eligible to apply for this post. However, they can apply for higher post. (iii) Candidates should submit applications to any one district only and should note the name of that district in the relevant column of the online application. (iv) Selection of the candidates will be subject to the special conditions regarding the wives of Jawans, First Class Scouts and Guides etc., as provided in the general conditions. (v) A confirmation for writing the examination has to be issued through One Time Registration profile. Candidates who fail to submit confirmation will receive no admission ticket. (vi) Photographs uploaded must be taken on or after 31.12.2010 and have the name of the candidate and date of photo taken printed at the bottom.
