Age Limit
18-36, Candidates born between 02/01/1987 and 01/01/2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Communities will be given. Employees of the Technical Education Department who have rendered not less than 3 years regular service in the Department will be allowed age relaxation up to the maximum of 50 (fifty) years in normal inter-departmental transfers (over and above the usual upper age limit). But the maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 (fifty) years.
Qualifications
1. Pass in THSS in the appropriate trade. OR 2. (i) Pass in SSLC or equivalent qualification. (ii) National Trade Certificate/ Kerala Government Certificate in Engineering (KGCE) in the appropriate trade / Vocational Higher Secondary Certificate (VHSC) in the appropriate trade.
Notes
1) KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a) ii is applicable. 2) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient and equivalent. The Government Orders regarding equivalent qualification/higher qualification shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. 3) 4% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for differently abled candidates belonging to Blind/Low Vision, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy categories vide G.O.(P) No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023.
