1. 413/2023: By Transfer Recruitment - 50% of vacancies from approved probationers in any category of the Kerala Government Subordinate Service/Last Grade Service. 2. 414/2023: Direct Recruitment - 50% of vacancies by direct recruitment.
Age Limit
1. 413/2023 (By Transfer): Must have completed 18 years as on 01.01.2023. No upper age limit. 2. 414/2023 (Direct): 18-36. Candidates born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included). Usual age relaxation for SC, ST, and Other Backward Communities.
Qualifications
1. 413/2023 (By Transfer): 1. SSLC 2. Government recognized Diploma in Library Science OR Government recognized Certificate in Library Science OR Degree in any subject and Degree in Library Science. 2. 414/2023 (Direct): 1. SSLC 2. Government recognized Diploma in Library Science OR Government recognized Certificate in Library Science. (Preference for Diploma holders). OR Degree in any subject and Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognized University through regular course of study.
Notes
1. 4% of vacancies are reserved for differently-abled candidates as per GO(P)No.7/2022/SJD dated 28.10.2022. 2. KS&SSR, Part II Rule 10(a) ii is applicable. 3. Vacancies for By Transfer and Direct Recruitment will be filled in 1:1 ratio. 4. Higher qualifications and equivalent qualifications are accepted. 5. By Transfer recruitment is not subject to reservation rules; selection based on seniority in the rank list. 6. Rotation is prepared for two vacancy units. 7. Service certificate required for By Transfer candidates.
