18-36, Candidates should be born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Other backward communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation.

Degree in Science with Microbiology (Bacteriology) as the main subject from a University recognized by the UGC or from a National Institute established by the Central Government or from an institution recognized by the Government of Kerala or equivalent qualification.

I) The vacancies reported for this post are currently existing. The Ranked list published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new Ranked list is published after the expiry of the minimum period of one year. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the list. II) The Kerala Public Service Commission shall have the right to cancel any advice for appointment if it is subsequently found that such advice was made under some mistake. On such cancellation the appointing authority shall terminate the service of the candidate. However, the appointing authority shall terminate the service of the candidate only after the expiry of the period of probation or 240 days of service, whichever is earlier. Note: Candidates who are working in the institution on a temporary basis and who have not crossed the prescribed age limit at the time of their initial appointment will be given relaxation in the upper age limit to the extent of their period of service. This concession will be available only for a maximum period of five years. This concession will not be available to those who are holding permanent posts in the institution. Candidates with temporary service should obtain a certificate showing the length of their service and produce it when required by the Commission. It should be specifically mentioned in the certificate that they were not holding a permanent post.
