Age Limit
18-36, Candidates should have been born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included). [For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see Part II, Paragraph 2 of the General Conditions]. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (Fifty) years.
Qualifications
(1) Pass in Plus Two or equivalent. (2) Lower Grade Certificate in English Typewriting (KGTE) and Certificate in Computer Word Processing or equivalent qualification. Note: KGTE Typewriting English (Lower) qualification obtained before January 2002 should be followed by a separate certificate in Computer Word Processing or equivalent qualification before the last date prescribed for the receipt of application. (3) Lower Grade Certificate in Malayalam Typewriting (KGTE) or equivalent. (4) Lower Grade Certificate in English Shorthand (KGTE) or equivalent qualification. (5) Lower Grade Certificate in Malayalam Shorthand (KGTE) or equivalent qualification. [G.O.(MS) No.21/2011/P&ARD dated 01.07.2011]. (Certificates obtained from the Institutes out of Typewriting Institutes and IMC certificates will not be accepted).
Notes
Note: (a) Certificates in Computer Word Processing issued by Central/State Government Departments, Agencies, Societies, Universities running courses of not less than 3 months duration will be considered as equivalent to KGTE Computer Word Processing. (b) Typewriting test certificates issued by the Government alone will be accepted. (c) Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce the Government Order and produce the same at the time of certificate verification to prove that it is equivalent, failing which such qualification will not be treated as equivalent. (d) All the educational qualifications acquired should have been attained on or before the last date of receipt of applications. (e) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable for this selection.
