Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes only).

18-41. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. No other age relaxation will be allowed. Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But, in no case, the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

(A) Group Certificate under KGTE or Equivalent Examinations. Note :- Group Certificate will include all the four groups viz. Building Drawing, Building Construction, Survey and Irrigation. OR A pass in eight subjects, namely;- (i) Surveying and Leveling (Higher) (ii) Applied Mechanics (Higher) (iii) Building Material and Construction (Higher) (iv) Hydraulics and Irrigation (Higher) (v) Building, Drawing and Estimating (Higher) (vi) Earth work and Road Making (Higher) (vii) Geometrical Drawing (Lower) or Practical Plane and Solid Geometry (Lower) (viii) Mensuration (Lower) (B) Diploma in Craftsmanship in the trade of "Draftsman (Civil)" or "Surveyor" obtained after 18 months course (followed by 6 months practical training) at the Industrial Training Institutes / Centres conducted by the Government of India, Ministry of Labour. Note : - 1. Candidates who have successfully completed the Industrial Training of 18 months will also be treated as qualified even if they have not completed the period of training. But their appointment will be treated as provisional and will be regularised only after the completion of six months practical training. 2. Diploma in Craftsmanship (Trade Test Certificate) in the Trade of Draftsman (Civil) awarded to private candidates without insisting on six months practical training will be treated as an alternative qualification for direct recruitment to the post of II Grade Draftsman. (C) Diploma in Civil Engineering (Two year Course) of the Women's Polytechnic of the state.

Note: The above Vacancy is now in existence. The Ranked list of selected candidates published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years, provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year is published for this post under the same method of appointment. Advice for appointment will be made from the Ranked list published in pursuance of this notification for the above vacancy and also for the vacancies reported for Special Recruitment from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe during the pendency of the list. Vacancies of the above post reported exclusively for Scheduled Tribes will also be advised from this list, if no separate ranked list is available or a separate selection is under way exclusively for Scheduled Tribe for filling up of such vacancies. Only in the absence of Scheduled Tribes in the said list a fresh notification exclusively for 'Scheduled Tribes' will be issued for such vacancies. Note:- Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued. Note :- 1) Rule 10 (a) (ii) of part II of KS & SSR is applicable. 2) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by Executive Orders or Standing Orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent / higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. 3) The Degrees / Diplomas awarded by UGC approved Universities or Institutions established through an Act passed by the Parliament/State Legislative Assembly in accordance with the conditions laid down in G.O(M.S) No. 526/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appointment in Government Services.
