By Transfer from among the members who are working as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attender in the General Education Department having the prescribed service.

(a) A Degree in Arabic or a Degree with Arabic as one of the optional subjects under Part III and a B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala and Language Teacher Training Certificate issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. Note:-(1) Post Graduate Degree in Arabic and B.Ed/B.T/L.T Degree holders are also eligible to apply for the post. (2) The B.Ed Degree shall be in the concerned language. (3) Those who have acquired B.A (Arabic & Islamic History) double main degree from Calicut University are eligible to apply for this post. (G.O (Ms) No.114/2018/GEDN dated 16.08.2018) (b) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by Government of Kerala. Exemption:- 1. M.Phil/Ph.D/NET/SET/SLET in the concerned subject are exempted from passing TET subject to the conditions laid down in G.O.(P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O.(P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016 and G.O.(P) No. 15/2020/G.Edn. dated 09.10.2020. 2. Candidates who have entered Service prior to 31.03.2012 as Clerk, Typist, Attender, Office Attender in General Education Department and completed prescribed service are exempted from acquiring K-TET qualification. (c) Must have not less than 5 years service as Clerk, Typist, Attender, Office Attender in the General Education Department on the date of application.

(i) Vacancies set apart for By Transfer appointment will be filled up from the ranked list prepared for direct recruitment in the absence of qualified hands. (ii) The applicant should be an Approved Probationer or Full Member of the Kerala General Education Subordinate Service on the last date of receipt of application. (iii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared in pursuance of this notification for each district. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. (iv) Candidates should submit application to any one of the districts. (v) The selection pursuant to this notification will be made on a district wise basis, in accordance with the special rules. Persons obtaining appointment from the ranked list will not be allowed to inter-district transfer for 5 years from the date of commencement of service.
