By transfer from among the qualified employees working in the General Education Department as Clerk, Typist, Attender, Office Attender/Binder.

(1) A Degree in Arabic or a Degree with Arabic as one of the optional subjects under pattern II of Part III and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala (if such title has been declared as equivalent to Part III of Degree) and Certificate in Language Teacher Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. (2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemptions: 1. Candidates who have acquired KTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the relevant subject and M.Ed in any subject are exempted from acquiring TET qualification. 2. CTET Primary Stage passed candidates are exempted from KTET Category I and CTET Elementary Stage passed candidates are exempted from KTET Category II. CTET qualification is not accepted for KTET Category III and IV. (3) Must have not less than five years of service in the General Education Department as Clerk, Typist, Attender, Office Attender, or Binder as on the date of application.

(i) Applications must be submitted online through the official website www.keralapsc.gov.in. (ii) In the absence of qualified candidates for appointment by transfer, the vacancies will be filled from the ranked list prepared for direct recruitment. (iii) Candidates must be a Full Member or Approved Probationer in the Kerala General Education Subordinate Service as on the date of application. (iv) A separate ranked list will be prepared for Alappuzha district. The list will be in force for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. (v) Candidates must apply only for Alappuzha district. (vi) Selection is based on G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Candidates appointed cannot be transferred to another district for five years. (vii) Reservation rules (KS & SSR Part II Rules 14-17) are not applicable for appointment by transfer. (viii) Candidates must possess a Service Certificate in the prescribed format from the Head of Office/Department. (ix) Candidates must confirm their participation for the exam through their profile within the stipulated time.
