Method of appointment
Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava, OBC, Muslim, and SCCC communities only). Note: Applications submitted by candidates other than those belonging to the above-mentioned reservation categories will be rejected. No individual intimation will be given regarding the rejection of applications.
Age Limit
22-48; Candidates must be born between 02/01/1975 and 01/01/2001 (both dates included). (Including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions). Note: For candidates who have converted to Christianity from Scheduled Castes, the upper age limit is 50 years. Such candidates must be born between 02.01.1973 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included). (Including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions). For other age relaxations, see Part II of the General Conditions.
Qualifications
1. MD/DNB in General Medicine. 2. One year Senior Residency in General Medicine from an NMC recognized Medical College after Post Graduate Degree. 3. Permanent Registration with Kerala State Medical Council (TCMC) or Council of Modern Medicine.
Notes
Note: (a) KS & SSR Part-II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. (b) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, qualifications declared as equivalent by the Government of Kerala or Standing Orders of the Commission will be accepted. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications must be produced at the time of verification. (c) Candidates appointed to this post must serve in the Defence Services in India or abroad for four years within the first ten years of service (including training period). This compulsory military service is not applicable to those who have completed 45 years of age or those belonging to the differently-abled category.
