Direct recruitment (from candidates belonging to SCCC community only)

18 –29. Only candidates born between 02.01.1995 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. In the case of adult members of Scheduled Caste and their children converted to Christianity, the upper age limit shall be 31 years. Ex-servicemen have age relaxation upto 41 years. Note: Other conditions regarding age relaxation in para 2 of Part II general conditions of the Gazette Notification are not applicable to this selection.

1. Educational Qualifications: Pass in SSLC or its equivalent Note:- (i) Rule 10(a)(ii) Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. (ii) Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant government order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. 2. Physical Qualifications: Must be physically fit and should possess the following minimum physical standards as prescribed below (a) Height - 167 cms (b) Chest - 81 cms with a minimum expansion of 5 cms. Minimum chest measurement - Normal 81 cms and expanded 86 cm (Minimum expansion not less than 5 cms) (c) Visual Standards: Must be certified to possess the Visual Standards specified below without glasses. Right Eye: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 Snellen Left Eye: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen, Near vision 0.5 Snellen Note: i. Each eye must have full field of vision. ii. Colour Blindness, Squint or any morbid conditions of the eyes or lids of either eye shall be a disqualification. iii Candidates should have sound health and must be free from apparent physical defects like Knock-knee, Flat Foot, Varicose veins, Bow legs, Deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing.

Note: Differently Abled Candidates and Women are not eligible to apply for this post. i) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than Scheduled Caste Converts to Christianity (SCCC) communities will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to such candidates. ii) The above vacancy is now in existence. The ranked list Published as per this notification will be valid until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancy earmarked for above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published on 03/04/2024 (Cat.No. 466/2021) Endurance Test (Qualifying): All eligible candidates for appointment to the Regular Wing of the India Reserve Battalion have to undergo an endurance test, which will be of qualifying nature, and shall consist of a Road Run of 3 Kms, to be completed in 13 minutes. Written Test/OMR Test: Those who qualify in the endurance test will have to undergo a written test /OMR Test. Physical Efficiency Test: Physical Efficiency Test will be conducted for those candidates who are found qualified in the written test/ OMR Test. They must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items specified below of the National Physical Efficiency one star standard test with minimum standards noted against each namely:- 1. 100 metres run: 14 Seconds 2. High Jump: 132.20 cms (4' 6'') 3. Long Jump: 457.20 cms (15') 4. Putting the shot of 7264 grams: 609.60 cms (20') 5. Throwing the Cricket Ball: 6096 cms (200') 6. Rope Climbing (only with hands): 365.80 cms (12') 7. Pull ups or chinning: 8 times 8. 1500 metres run: 5 minutes and 44 seconds Training: (a) Those selected for training as Trainee Police Constables of India Reserve Battalion shall undergo a pre-service training on a prescribed syllabus. (b) Bond: Those who get selected for appointment as Police Constable Trainee in India Reserve Battalion shall execute a bond to the effect that they will serve in the India Reserve Battalion for a period of 5 years after completion of training failing which they will have to remit an amount of Rs.50,000/-(Rupees Fifty Thousand only). (c) Stipend: Trainee Police Constables in the India Reserve Battalion will be paid a monthly stipend equivalent to that of their basic pay during their period of training or as decided by the Government from time to time. (d) Probation: Every person appointed to Regular Wing of India Reserve Battalion shall from the date on which he joins duty after successful completion of pre-service training, be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
