18 - 31, Candidates must have been born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included). Note:- Ex-servicemen shall be given relaxation up to 40 years of age. Para 2 of the General Conditions regarding age relaxation is not applicable to selection to this post.

1) Educational Qualification :- i) Must have passed the Higher Secondary (+2) Examination or its equivalent. ii) In the absence of those with Higher Secondary qualification, applications of candidates who have not passed Higher Secondary will be considered to complete the quota. Note :- a) KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)ii is applicable to this post. b) Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce Government Order proving equivalency at the time of certificate verification, failing which such qualification will not be considered as equivalent. c) In case of any difference in the caste mentioned in the SSLC book and the caste claimed in the application, candidates should produce the caste certificate issued by the concerned Revenue Authority and related Gazette Notification at the time of verification. 2) Physical Qualification :- (a) Height - A minimum of 160 cm (b) Chest - A minimum of 76 cm (with a minimum expansion of 5 cm) (c) Eye Sight- Must possess the eye sight without glasses certified as specified below: Right Eye Left Eye a) Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen 6/6 Snellen b) Near Vision 0.5 Snellen 0.5 Snellen Note :- (1) Each eye must have full vision. (2) Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eyes or lids of either eye shall be deemed to be a disqualification. (3) Knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, deformed hands and limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing, and such other physical defects are considered as disqualifications. 3) In addition to the qualifications mentioned above, each candidate shall be subjected to a physical efficiency test. Must qualify in any 5 (five) events out of the 8 (eight) events specified below under the National Physical Efficiency Test - One Star Standard: 1. 100 Meters Run - 14 Seconds 2. High Jump - 132.20 cm 3. Long Jump - 457.20 cm 4. Putting the Shot (7264 grams) - 609.60 cm 5. Throwing Cricket Ball - 6096 cm 6. Rope Climbing (using hands only) - 365.80 cm 7. Pull up or Chinning - 8 times 8. 1500 Meters Run - 5 Minutes 44 Seconds Note :- Physical measurements of candidates will be taken before the physical efficiency test. Candidates who do not possess the prescribed measurements will not be allowed to participate in the physical efficiency test. Candidates who sustain injury or accident during the physical efficiency test will not be given another opportunity to participate.

Note:- - Applications submitted by candidates other than Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe communities will be rejected. No separate intimation regarding the rejection of application will be given to such persons. - This selection will be made on a battalion basis. Candidates should not apply for more than one battalion. - Candidates selected for various battalions will be transferred only to the D.A.R. shown against the respective battalion. - The rank list prepared pursuant to this notification will be valid for a period of one year from the date on which it comes into force. - Candidates must produce a medical certificate in original obtained from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon / Junior Consultant in Government Service certifying physical fitness and eye sight without glasses at the time of verification during the physical efficiency test. - Training: Candidates selected for appointment as Police Constable through direct recruitment shall undergo 9 months training at the Police Training College or at any other institution decided by the Government or State Police Chief. Stipend will be paid as fixed by the Government during the training period. - Probation: Every person selected for appointment shall be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years if direct recruitment.
