21-49; Candidates must be born between 02/01/1972 and 01/01/2000 (both dates included). (Including the relaxation in para 2(i) of the General Conditions). Note: For other age relaxation conditions, see Part 2 of the General Conditions, excluding para 2(i).

1. M.Ch (Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery)/DNB (Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery)/M.Ch (Cardio Thoracic Surgery)/M.Ch (Thoracic Surgery). 2. Three years teaching experience or such other teaching experience as prescribed by the Medical Council of India. 3. Permanent Registration with State Medical Council (Travancore-Cochin Medical Council).

1. The study period of candidates who have acquired Post Graduate Degree through Residency Programme shall be considered as teaching experience for the post of Assistant Professor. Candidates who have acquired Post Graduate Degree without Residency Programme should produce a certificate from the Principal of the college where they studied, stating that they have obtained teaching/clinical experience during the Post Graduate Degree study period. 2. Candidates appointed to this post must serve in the Defence Services or on assignments relating to Defence effort anywhere in India or abroad for a period of four (4) years including the period of training, within the first ten (10) years of their service. This compulsory military service is not applicable to those who have completed 45 years of age and those who belong to the Differently Abled category. 3. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce Government Order proving the equivalency at the time of verification. 4. Candidates should claim the correct caste/community in the application and if it differs from the entry in the SSLC book, a Gazette notification regarding the change of name/caste should be produced at the time of certificate verification along with Non-Creamy Layer/Caste Certificate. 5. KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. 6. Candidates claiming experience qualification must upload the experience certificate in the prescribed format. If the experience certificate is not available due to the pandemic situation, a self-declaration in the prescribed format must be uploaded, but the original certificate must be produced when required by the Commission.
