Age Limit
22-48: (Only candidates born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post. (including the age relaxation in para 2(i) of the General Conditions) Note:- Members belonging to Scheduled Caste who had converted to Christianity after attaining adulthood and their children are eligible for age relaxation up to 50 years. Such candidates should be born between 02/01/1975 and 01/01/2003 (both dates included) (including the relaxation in para 2(i) of the General Conditions). Note: For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see Part II, para (2) of the General Conditions except Para2(i).
Qualifications
1. M.Ch/DNB/DrNB in Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery 2. Have completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research from recognized medical institution designated by the National Medical Commission 3. Permanent Registration under Kerala State Medical Council (TCMC)/ Council for Modern Medicine Note:- Qualifications are as per NMC 2025, Medical Institutions (Qualifications of Faculty) Regulations 2025 dated 30/06/2025.

Note:- Applications submitted by candidates other than the community mentioned above will be rejected. No individual rejection memo will be issued to such candidates. Note:I 1. KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)ii is applicable. 2. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders, or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. 3. Those who are appointed in the post should serve for four (4) years during the first ten (10) years of their service (including the period of training) anywhere in India or any other foreign country under Defense Services connected with Defense, if required. Differently abled candidates and those who have completed 45 years of age are exempted from the above compulsory Military Service.
