1) SSLC or equivalent qualification. 2) A Degree in Sanskrit conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title in Oriental Learning (Sanskrit) awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR Oriental School Leaving Certificate in Sanskrit issued by the Government of Kerala. OR Pass in Preliminary Examination in Sanskrit conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala. OR Pass in Pre-University or Pre-Degree Examination in Sanskrit from any of the Sanskrit Colleges under the Universities in Kerala. OR Pass in Sanskrit Teacher Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR Pass in Pre-Degree Examination with Sanskrit (Sahithya) and Sanskrit (Sastra) as optional subjects from Arts or Science Colleges under the Universities in Kerala. OR Pass in Plus 2 Course with Sanskrit Sahithya, Sanskrit Sastra, History, and Economics as combinations conducted by the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala (G.O (MS) No. 155/2007/G.Edn dated 17.08.2007). 3) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala.

i) Candidates must register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' with the official website of the Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted otherwise will be summarily rejected. ii) In the absence of suitable candidates for appointment by transfer, the vacancies will be filled from the Ranked List prepared for direct recruitment. iii) The candidate must be a permanent employee of the Kerala General Education Subordinate Service or have completed probation satisfactorily as of the date of application. iv) A Ranked List will be prepared for Palakkad district. The list will be valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new Ranked List is published after one year, the current list will cease to be valid. Appointments will be made from the list for the notified vacancies and any additional vacancies reported during the validity of the list. If no appointment is made within 3 years, the validity may be extended by one year or until a candidate is selected, whichever is earlier. v) Selection is district-wise as per G.O (MS) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidate appointed by transfer cannot be transferred to another district for 5 years from the date of joining. After 5 years, transfers are subject to G.O (MS) 4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. The 5-year service condition is not applicable for transfers to Idukki, Kasaragod, and Wayanad districts as per G.O (P) 12/96/P&ARD dated 16.03.1996, but this concession is available only once. Candidates already working in the same post in another district are not eligible to apply, but may apply for higher posts. vi) Candidates must apply only for Palakkad district and specify the district name in the online application. vii) Reservation rules under KS & SSR Part II Rules 14 to 17 are not applicable for appointment by transfer. Exemptions: i) Candidates who have acquired CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed in the relevant subject are exempted from the K-TET qualification (G.O.(P)No.145/16/G.Edn dated 30.08.2016, G.O.(P)No.206/16/G.Edn dated 08.12.2016). ii) Employees of the General Education Department who entered service before 31.03.2012 as Clerk, Typist, Attender/Office Attendant and have completed the prescribed service are not required to pass KTET for appointment by transfer (G.O (MS) No.134/2017/G-Edn, dated 30.10.2017). Notes in Qualification section: 1. As per G.O (P) No.15/2020/G. Edn dated 19.10.2020, M.Ed need not be in the relevant subject. 2. M.Phil qualification must be from a recognized University in Kerala or equivalent. 3. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the Government Order proving equivalence at the time of verification. 4. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable. 4). Candidates must have at least 5 years of service in the General Education Department as Clerk, Typist, Attender, Office Attendant, or Full-time Menial as of the application date (G.O (P) No. 129/2011/G.Edn & G.O (MS) No. 69/2021/G.Edn). A service certificate in the prescribed format must be uploaded to the profile.
